Spend a day on the farm! Open Farm Day connects the public with farmers, ranchers and market gardeners for hands-on learning and farm-fresh products. Get family and friends together and head out to experience a fun farm adventure. Meet local farmers, learn more about farm products, watch demonstrations, enjoy recreational activities and ask questions about farm life. Many host farms feature homegrown and homemade products for sale and some offer additional activities like a corn maze, pumpkin picking, getting close to farm animals and more. If you want information about a specific host farm or additional activities, use the contact information in this guide to find out about scheduling and fees. Enjoy a farm-fresh supper. Supper from the Field Sunday, September 0, Steinbach It s worth the trip to the Livery Barn Restaurant located at the Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV)! Here you will feast on Russian Mennonite traditional cuisine prepared using local meats and produce. The museum will have extended hours to accommodate supper guests wishing to take advantage of the reduced admission to tour the village grounds. Note: admission is not required to attend the supper only. Advance tickets - reserve your spot by Friday, September 4. Call MHV at 04--9 ext. 8.
