June 3-4 - Joseph (Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre) Our annual Sight & Sound excursion is even better this year. Although Joseph needs no enhancement, we have added two visits to the Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum. Enjoy a luncheon at the 1856 Hotel, a hayride and tour of the village (19th century German). Dinner is at the Plain & Fancy Restaurant. Accommodations are at the award winning Hampton Inn in Ephrata. On the second day we visit the Sands Casino in Bethlehem with a casino bonus. June 22 - Nostalgic New York (Lowe East Side) Our visit to the Lower East Side is the first of a series of Nostalgic New York City Tours. Our tour highlights include a program at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. Our group will be be divided into two workshop/programs. Lunch is at the iconic Katz s Deli ( send a salami to your boy in the army ). You may not have the same reaction as Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally, but it will be close. Our tour takes us to the Eldridge Street Synagogue and Museum, a breathtaking National Historic Landmark for a guided tour. Time will be allotted for some local culinary shopping. July 8 - Turner Classic Movie Tour You'll enjoy movie trivia from a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. It's the perfect escape for movie fans, but also a great way for anyone to see how much, and how little, the City has changed over the years. Film clips, Karaoke, and some great photo ops really bring you back to the sites of your favorite movie classics such as King Kong, An Affair to Remember, Manhattan, You've Got Mail, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Seven Year Itch, North by Northwest, Superman and Ghostbusters. Luncheon will be at a Times Square restaurant. July 22 - The East Wind Atlantis Tour We are heading back to Eastern Long Island for a fun and relaxing day. We begin with a luncheon at Desmonds at the Inn at East Wind Long Island - Long Island s premier North Shore luxury destination. Located at the gateway to the North Fork, the Inn has been providing great service for twenty years. After our luncheon, we head to Riverhead and the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium where we will enjoy a relaxing ecological tour of the Peconic River. August 16 - The Producers (Mac-Haydn theatre in Chatham, NY) Only Mel Brooks could produce this bonanza of laughs as a show that should flop becomes a hit and spoils Max and Leo s plans to take the money and run! The Mac-Haydn is an intimate theatre in the round with no bad seats. Luncheon prior to the show is at the Winding Brook Country Club. August 26-27 - Trains and Boats in the Northern Catskills A beautiful ride through the Catskill Mountains takes us to the Delaware and Ulster Railroad for a scenic luncheon ride aboard the Rip Van Winkle Flyer.
