The University of Basel The University of Basel is the oldest university in Switzerland, founded upon the initiative of local citizens in 1460. Today the University is a modern and attractive centre of teaching, learning and research. It ranks among the world s 100 best universities and boasts a top-ten place among German-speaking universities. The Institute of Biomedical Ethics was founded in May 2011 and its currently 14 soon 21 members form a dedicated team committed to make a next ESPMH congress an enjoyable and successful experience for you.
The University s Congress Facility The Kollegienhaus of the University of Basel is prepared to host the ESPMH congress and is a lovely, central building, easily reached by public transport. Modern theatres are available and we can book several rooms of any size with excellent equipment. Weather permitting we can have an ice-breaker party in the back garden of the building which is also an inviting place to relax between sessions.
