Bab Riafa is a very popular tourist attraction despite being one of the many old gates and former entrances into to city. Bordered by the Avenue Moulay Hassan and Avenue de l Unesco, this beautiful garden profiles amazing tall palms, striking fountains, and local plants. The dome was added to commemorate Abu Bakr Ibn al-arabi, an Islamic intellectual from Spain. al-arabi visited Fes often in the 11th century to meet with celebrated Islamic scholars. This historical construction features one arch and two glorious towers. Bab Chorfa is one of the northwest entrances into Medina. Stretching for five miles (8km), the walls were built to protect the Moroccan city from attacking enemies in the 8th Century.
