Welcome Letter It is our pleasure to invite you to the ICN+T 2018 to be held in Brno, Czech Republic in 22 27 July 2018. The city of Brno is located just two hours both from Prague, Czech Republic and Vienna, Austria. The 2018 International Conference on Nanoscience + Technology (ICN+T) will provide an international forum for discussion of the latest developments in nanoscale science and technology and relevant instrumentation and methodologies. The programme will hold over 50 plenary and invited presentations on the latest developments in nanoscale science and technology will be given by leading scientists. Our sponsors and vendors will be able to exhibit the latest equipment available for nanoscale science and technology to over 700 attendees from around the globe. The exhibit areas will be next to the main plenary hall and surround the poster presentations, providing many opportunities for discussions between attendees and vendors. With its tradition since 1928 it is great place to meet, share and get inspired. The exhibition grounds are located outside of Brno city center which can however be easily reached by public transport or taxi within few minutes. There are two major hotels available just next to the BVV (Holiday Inn and Voroněž - both offered to the ICN+T delegates). Estimated number of participants: 700 Conference website: www.icnt2018.org Brno, Czech Republic Brno is the 2nd largest city in the Czech Republic with over 400 000 inhabitants and the capital of the South Moravian Region. Holding a strategic geographic position within Central Europe with excellent transport accessibility, including an international airport Brno is located only two hours from the international airports of Prague and Vienna. For a few decades Brno has been a place of research institutes and companies involved in development and production of electron microscopes. At present it hosts companies such as Thermo Fisher Scientific (FEI), TESCAN, and Delong Instruments, all of them being engaged in the business of electron microscopy and relevant nanotechnology tools and methods. It is known as a student town having more than 80 000 students in 6 universities. It also hosts several research institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and quite recently has become the seat of the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC), one of the two principle co-organizers of this conference.
Main Themes / Topics of the Conference The overarching objective of ICN+T 2018 is to represents the convergence of the former International Conference on Scanning Tunneling Microscopy/Spectroscopy and Related Techniques (STM) and Nano, which were first combined in Basel, Switzerland in 2006. This conference will cover a range of topics in nanoscale science and technology, addressing the interdisciplinary nature of this strategic field. Topics for scientific presentations include: Scanning probe microscopy/spectroscopy and related instrumentation Nanosystems, nanomanipulation 0D - 1D nanostructures 2D materials, Topological Insulators Nanoelectronics (molecular electronics, quantum devices) Nanomagnetism (spintronics, magnonics Nanophotonics (plasmonics, metamaterials) Nanomechanics, nanofluidics, nanobiotechnology and advances in nanofabrication Nanocharacterization and materials/processing for nanotechnology (all relevant analytical and fabrication techniques incl. TEM, SEM, FIB) Audience The expected attendance is over 700 participants, with international academic, industry and government representation. Conference participants or attendees will include members of the scientific research community, as well as policy decision makers from various countries of EU and abroad.

More detailed exhibition manual with booth specifics and additional items for rent will be available later, before the end of the year 2017. It will contain details like: Set-up and dismantling time schedule, shipment and storage of your goods, a list of exhibition items and services, pre-fabricated booth specifics etc. Booth reservations will be sorted into priority order, according to sponsors level first. Completed booth allocation for exhibitors will be processed at a later stage. Any company interested in bringing their own booth should contact the exhibition manager directly. Other Partnership Opportunities Lanyards (Exclusive) Each conference attendee will be given a lanyard with a name badge, which will indicate their name and the country they come from and act as an identification pass. The sponsor s logo will be printed on the lanyard with the conference logo. The sponsor will also be mentioned in the final program and on the conference website.
