St Mary s has already hosted musical greats, Bon Jovi, Elton John and most recently Robbie Williams on 6th June 2017. TRANSPORT AND PARK & RIDE PARK & RIDE - UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON SPORTS GROUND There will be several road closures and strict parking restrictions around the stadium on the day of the concert and to make your journey and concert experience most enjoyable we recommend for your ease using the official park and ride service. Please note this service has to be pre-booked. 20 minutes, although during peak periods and with high levels of extra traffic some journeys may take longer. Customers should note that after the concert a queuing system will be in operation, and we will do our best to ensure that the queues move as fast as possible. All parking hangers will be sent out two weeks before the concert. Please make sure they are visible in your car on the day. This car park is located near to Southampton Airport (SO50 5PE) and is easily accessed from junction 5 of the M27 which has great links with the M3 and A31. At the end of the concert please make your way along Britannia Road and towards Rochester Street. There will be clear signage to assist you. The car park will open at 1.30pm and the first bus will depart at 2pm. Customers should note that the journey time is around Book here: cesparking.co.uk
OTHER TRANSPORT TRAIN STATION FERRY SERVICES Southampton is served by Southampton Central Railway Station, which is approximately a mile from the stadium - roughly a 20 minute walk. The station is fully accessible to wheelchair users 24 hours a day. Please contact South Western Railway Customer Service Centre on 0345 6000 650 for any queries. Shuttle Buses run regularly from Southampton Central Train Station and operate from the South Side (Platform 4.) Drop Off & Pick Up: Chapel Road Shuttle Buses will run up until 11.30pm Adult Return: 3 Child Return: 2 You are able to purchase tickets on the day or in advance cesparking.co.uk/bus-tickets/ TAXIS Non booked: Hackney Carriages Taxi ranks will be clearly signposted from the stadium and a queuing system will be in place from the end of the event. They will be at Golden Grove and the Southern end of St Mary Street. Ferry services are available from the Isle of Wight and other surrounding areas, see redfunnel.co.uk/en/ for more information. The stadium is just over 1 mile, roughly a 25 minute walk from the terminal. Shuttle Buses will operate from Terminal 2 at Southampton s Town Quay. Departure: 5 minutes after the arrival of Red Jet service from Cowes Adult Return: 3 Child Return: 2 Customers that are utilising the Car Ferry and Hythe Ferry are also welcome on the buses and will be charged the above rates. FOOD VILLAGE 3PM From 3pm our Food Village will be the ideal place to enjoy the summer weather and be part of the exciting build up to the main event. A large selection of bars and food offers will ensure you are fed and watered prior to enjoying the evening s entertainment. Favourites such as Fish & Chips, selection of burgers, hot dogs & pizza will be joined by popular street food vendors serving fresh noodles, bourbon pulled pork buns plus much more. To quench your thirst we have two large bars by Carlsberg, serving a range of beer, wine & soft drinks. In addition we have got cocktails, sparkling wine and champagne available. With BBC radio Solent broadcasting live from the Food Village it promises to be a great place to meet your friends and family before the stage lights up. 5PM From 5pm the stadium opens up and the atmosphere reaches fever pitch as the excitement builds towards the entertainment on stage. On the concourses you can enjoy a large selection of hot food, from hog roasts to our very own Cumber Dog, Fried chicken and coleslaw to freshly made wraps. For ALL of the upcoming European performances, fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the venue.
