Novi Civic Center The Novi Civic Center is located on the Civic Center Campus and is home to City offices, recreational programs, Novi Civic Theatre, community gatherings, and government meetings. The building offers ample space for business meetings, weddings, receptions, showers, birthday parties, formal presentations, art programs, and more. A full-service kitchen is available and much of the building has Wi-Fi access. Alcoholic beverages are allowed at the Novi Civic Center during private events (certain restrictions apply). Charles & Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library The state-of-the art Charles and Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library opened in June 2010 and features modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, a full-service café, teen activity space, computer lab, multimedia collections, outdoor patio, and more. The ambiance of the new facility is enhanced by an extensive collection of artwork. Alcoholic beverages are allowed at the Novi Public Library during private events (certain restrictions apply). Fuerst Park Ten Mile Road AMPHITHEATer GARDEN Historic Township Hall NOVI PUBLIC LIBRARY Fuerst Park is an eight-acre gem located on the Civic Center Campus, adjacent to the library. It is the perfect place for a garden wedding, outdoor concert, baby or wedding shower, small business meeting, and more. Alcoholic beverages are allowed within Township Hall during private events (certain restrictions apply). Taft Road Fuerst Park includes: Wi-Fi Capabilities 150-seat outdoor amphitheater with four 20-amp circuits NOVI HIGH SCHOOL Historic Township Hall can accommodate 50 people and offers restrooms, air-conditioning, and a small stage. Lakeshore Park Lakeshore Park provides an up north feel in Novi s backyard. Located on the shores of Walled Lake, Lakeshore Park offers more than 300 acres of fun and is perfect for family reunions, corporate picnics, graduation parties, and more. Novi Ice Arena Novi Ice Arena features two sheets of ice, concessions, party room, and an arcade area. The arena is a great place for birthday parties and packages are offered to meet a variety of needs. Additionally, the ice is available to rent for private skating or hockey games. Frequently Asked Questions How do I confirm availability of a room or park shelter? To confirm availability for a park or room at the Novi Civic Center, simply call 248.347.0400 or email noviparks@cityofnovi.org. To confirm availability at the Novi Public Library, please call 248.869.7204 or email administration@novilibrary.org. Can I reserve a room over the phone? Reservations may not be made over the phone for City of Novi facilities. Phone reservations are available for the Novi Public Library during normal business hours. Please call 248.869.7204. Once availability is confirmed, what is needed to complete the reservation? Novi Civic Center & Park Shelters Novi Civic Center applications should be emailed to noviparks@cityofnovi.org or faxed to 248.347.3286. Reservations require a minimum of 50% deposit and full payment is necessary 30 days prior to the event date. Cash, check, or credit card accepted. A $200 security deposit must be provided via MasterCard, Visa or Discover card. The security deposit will be returned the next business day following the event, if the facility was left as found. Park shelters must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Charles & Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library For Novi Public Library reservations, the application should be sent to administration@novilibrary.org or returned to the Administration Office. No security deposit is required. Payment is due in full within two business days to confirm reservation. Cash, check and credit card are accepted. A fee will be assessed to cover the cost of any damages. The Library reserves the right to deny use or access to any group that has violated this policy. Can I hire a caterer or bring food? Novi Civic Center, Parks Shelters & Charles & Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library Yes, an outside caterer may be used at City of Novi and Library facilities. A copy of the caterer s State of Michigan license and liability insurance must be provided prior to the food arriving at the event. If you are preparing your own food, nothing is needed. Catering options are available through the Read-A- Latte Café at the Library. May alcohol be served at the event? Novi Civic Center, Township Hall & Charles & Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library Bottled beer, wine, and champagne are allowed at after-hours events at the Novi Civic Center, Library, and Township Hall at Fuerst Park. Requests must be submitted 30 days prior to the event. What is the cancellation policy? Novi Civic Center If the cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the event date, a full refund less 15% is issued. If the cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the event, a full refund less 40% is issued. If the cancellation is made less than 15 days prior to the event, no refund is issued. Park Shelters If the cancellation is made more than two weeks prior to the event date, a full refund is issued if the shelter is re-rented. If the cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to the event date, a full refund less 15% is issued if shelter is re-rented. If the shelter is not re-rented, the fee is nonrefundable. No refunds for inclement weather. Charles & Myrtle Walker Novi Public Library Room reservations at the Novi Public Library are non-refundable. What is included in my reservation? Novi Civic Center Access to rooms at the Novi Civic Center is provided 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. The room must be clean and vacated at the scheduled ending time.
