THE MOUNTAINS BALCONY 3 days 2 nights, who does not see it, does not know the whole Park. These mountains look, on the one hand, to the east; to Segura and Cazorla, and, on the other hand, to the west; to the country side of Jaen, full of olive trees. A real balcony into two universes. The various forest trails, born at the road to Las Villas, the amusement areas, viewpoints and hiking trails, will make us enjoy unexpected waterfalls, peaks with fabulous sights and spectacular rocky cliffs. And among its beautiful villages, Iznatoraf, or Torafe, as locals call it, a lovely balcony looking into the Guadalquivir valley and the overwhelming mountainous wall of the western facade of the Park. PROGRAM 3 days 2 nigths Day 1. Arrival at accommodation and, depending on the available time for the group, leisure or optional activity. Dinner at the accommodation. Day 2. Circular hiking route through Lancha de la Solana and Collado Angosto, whose distance is of 8.50 km. It has a medium-high difficulty. This activity can be replaced by a 4x4 route through Sierra de las Villas, Chorrogil waterfall, the water reservoir of Aguascebas and Peña Corba (with a supplement of 11 4 per person). Free lunch and afternoon to rest or to do an optional activity Day 3. Visit to choose between Iznatoraf or Villacarrillo + jam manufacture workshop (this workshop can be changed by chocolate shop with supplement of 7 4 / pax) or candle workshop (supplement of 3 4 / pax). DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES (*) ACTIVITY UNDER PROGRAM Trail by Lancha de la Solana and Collado Angosto - Navazalto. We start at the school of La Fresnedilla, to turn into a path by the so called Lancha de la Solana, which will lead us to the Puesto del Águila, where we can contemplate the Aguascebas Reservoir. We continue going up to the guardhouse of Navazalto, where depart a path not very visible Angosto Collado address from where you turn the Nava Milano. Here comes a forest track and not give up and take us back to the Fresnedilla. Trail runs great visual beauty as by numerous hills. Important Note: The itinerary may be amended totally or partially by the monitor without notice, depending on the physical / technical participants, weather, ground conditions or schedules. Approx duration: more than 4 h. Distance: 8.5 km Difficulty: Medium/low. ENTERPRISE: Guadalkayak (*) ACTIVITY UNDER PROGRAM Jam manufacture workshop It consists on making jam with seasonal fruits. Depending on the season, this workshop may be replaced by the development of other preserves. After the workshop lunch will consists on a special homemade menu. Duration: 3h aprox. ENTERPRISE: Hotel (*) ACTIVITY UNDER PROGRAM Visit to Iznatoraf or to Villacarrillo Choose a visit to one of these two villages in the region of Las Villas, towns that retain a significant and rich heritage. In Iznatoraf, we will discover winding streets and squares, where plain and whitewashed houses cohabit with noble stone-carved mansions with emblems. Stands out the parish church of Ntra. Sra. De la Asunción, a sixteenth century jewel of the Vandelvira s school, walls of the old arab fortress, entrance gates and lookouts. In Villacarrillo, the architectural presence of Andres Vandelvira is evident in the majority of its monuments, one of the most important is the church Ntra. Sra. De la Asunción. ENTERPRISE: Hotel
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES 4 x 4 Route A tour through the waterfall of Chorrogil, reservoir of Aguascebas, and Peña Corba with a duration aproximate of 4/5 hours in 1/2 day. 100 km. It starts at Chilluevar, Mogón or Burunchel, to get into the, heading to the Aguascebas beautiful reservoir. After abundant rainfall, we can make an optional taril to see the waterfall of Chorrogil (about 2 kms on foot). We will continue through the hill of Pocico (1400 mts), where we'll begin a steep descent through beautiful landscapes dominated by graceful corsican pines and juniper berries through the youth camp of Gil Cobos. Here we will turn to the right, facing Iznatoraf and the Aguascebas reservoir. We will descend through hills and orchards, which have given a new view to the mountain landscape. The forest trail ends on a great valley, where we will start a short walk to the summit of Pardal, enjoying a breathtaking view of the Natural Park. Approximate duration: half a day. Distance: 100km ENTERPRISE: Turisnat Passion for chocolate Workshop There will be a cooking workshop where you will learn how to make delicious desserts and to work with chocolate. After the workshop lunch will consists on a special homemade menu. Approximate duration: 3h ENTERPRISE: Hotel Candle workshop With the help of molds and wax of bees from the mountain, we will learn to elaborate decorative candles. After the workshop lunch will consists on a special homemade menu. ENTERPRISE: Hotel Whitewater kayaking, living the river impassionedly. We will descend in single-person open polyethylene kayaks that are highly resistant, unsinkable and self-drainale, giving to it greater security and stability. No previous experience is required. In this activity, before the descent, previous practices are taught to participants, so they learn to maneuver the kayak, and they will become familiar real quick. While descending you will always be accompanied by a monitor/guide to do it safer. Route: Alto Guadalquivir, in a stretch of approx. 9 km., ideal for those who wish to enter the world of whitewater in an easy and secure ambience. Duration: 4h Season: from June to August ENTERPRISE: Guadalkayak Rafting It is the most famous adventure sport in the Alto Guadalquivir because it provides an ideal framework for the practice of this activity. The descent is done on rafts or inflatable boats that are directed by guides who give instructions to the group that collaborates paddling. The situations are shared by the participants, who must cooperate to maneuver the raft. Route: Alto Guadalquivir, in a stretch of approx. 9 km.
