1 About Football NSW Football NSW is responsible for administering and running Football within NSW from its home at Valentine Sports Park. This facility is not only the Football NSW (FNSW) administration base it is a working facility that will assist FNSW in achieving its strategic objectives. Valentine Sports Park will be able to GROW the connection between FNSW community by offering world class facilities. Valentine Sports Park has first class fields and facilities with the capacity to accommodate, feed, train and educate sporting groups from grassroots through to the elite, whilst perfectly positioned to become the Home of Football in New South Wales. The venue offers an exciting and unique opportunity by virtue of the combination of available facilities with the direct access to football expertise and experience from the headquarters of FNSW, located on-site. Valentine Sports Park is a multi-million dollar state of the art facility encompassing synthetic, grass and indoor pitches, changing facilities, gym, pool, accommodation, catering, function/conference space and lecture facilities. It is because of these facilities that we ask all staff and guests to abide by a set of core values that FNSW strive to achieve: 1. Provide strong leadership 2. Act with integrity 3. Be passionate about improving football Complying by these values for guests can be summed up in one simple statement that outlines the benchmark that Football NSW is aiming to achieve: Leave every space cleaner than you found it. Valentine Sports Park is located in the heart of Western Sydney, one of the fastest growing regions in Australia, with over 1.9 million people, equating to over one in 11 Australians. 2 Values 2.1 Provide Strong Leadership FNSW takes its position in the Australian Football landscape very seriously. Likewise the management of Valentine Sports Park is not taken lightly. In providing strong leadership we ask that the team managers or group leaders follow this lead and take their roles seriously. In doing so guests need to: Read and understand instructions and information provided by FNSW staff. Create a safe and caring environment. FNSW does not permit the use of/or allow the possession of any weapons to be bought onto Valentine Sports Park. Assist in creating a Bully Free Zone. Ask for help. If you have a problem or are uncertain, contact the accommodation operator and ask for help. take responsibility for any damage you cause and report immediately. 2.2 Act with Integrity Fundamental to the FNSW Values and expectations around guest behaviour is the integrity of all guests. Remember your accommodation is someone else s property. Request permission before inviting additional guests. Act with consideration and reduce noise or disturbances that would lessen the enjoyment of neighbours or other guests. Valentine Sports Park is a Non Smoking facility. Please respect the wishes of the operator and future guests. show respect and handle properties belonging to the venue with care and diligence. Abide by the venue rules and never engage in theft or destruction. show due consideration for the needs of others, including their rights to privacy. Report any and all incidents in relation to property damage or injury to FNSW Staff. 2.3 Behave Professionally As a leader, reputation and expectation are highly important. FNSW aims to provide a professional service and expects guests to conduct themselves professionally by: Dressing appropriately and ensuring that interaction made with guests and staff is conducted in a courteous manner. Resolving conflict in a respectful, honest and caring manner. Refraining from actions and behaviours that undermine the health and safety of others. 2.4 Act as a Team A good team player acts as a strong base of support for fellow members. The expectation of FNSW is for staff and guests to be cohesive in operations. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion. Treat all guests and staff the way you would like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another guest. Support members. 2.5 Maintain a Customer Focus FNSW is a not for profit service and recognises that it s provision of services are driven by customer satisfaction. We demonstrate this by: Creating an economically friendly environment; eliminating the waste of water and switching off lights, heating and/or air conditioning when not required. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene. Please ensure waste is disposed of appropriately. Do not tarnish the reputation of the venue or bring it into disrepute. PG 7

3 Site Map Located in Sydney s ever growing North West region, Valentine Sports Park offers groups an exceptional sporting venue in the heart of Sydney. The complex is located just 30 minutes from Sydney s CBD and 45 minutes from Sydney International Airport. With major shopping centres at Blacktown and Castle Hill only 10 minutes away and local shops including a supermarket, bakery and chemist only 1½ kms away, Valentine Sports Park is ideally located for your group s stay. Valentine Sports Park is truly unique within the Australian Sporting Landscape, it is a purpose built facility that can cater for and accommodate a range of groups or individual bookings. 4 Emergency Evacuation Map Procedure Accommodation Fire Safety Guide upon arrival to your room, note the location of the nearest fire exit and hose reel. Keep your room key with you at all times. DO NOT attempt to take personal possessions with you. After the all clear is given you may re enter your room. Remember to keep low. Use a wet towel to cover your head and face. Don t open the door if it feels HOT. If cool to touch open carefully and look outside. Descend to street level cautiously Valentine Sports Park 235 257 Meurants Lane, Glenwood Nearest cross street is Greenhill Drive In an emergency or on hearing the evacuation siren, exit the building and go directly and safely to the Emergency Assembly Area - marked on this map. Please follow the advice of the Wardens Follow the evacuation route marked go immediately to the evacuation assembling area. Keep the entrance and road way clear. Do not congregate in the quadrangle. Report all fire incidents to Valentine Sports Park Reception office or the after hours representative. Please remember No Heroics. Evacuate immediately and put your trust in the NSW Fire Brigade. Construction and Safety Please be aware that Valentine Sports Park is currently a construction zone and compliance with authority and management is mandatory. Always: Familiarise yourself with the safety procedures Follow directions of authorised personnel Report unsafe conditions or practices Stay away from unsafe areas Obey safety rules Obey safety signs Report all accidents speed and parking restrictions must be observed Keep areas tidy Never: Remove or touch unauthorised property Enter unsupported excavations PG 11

5 Incident / Accident Process This document is to facilitate a formal report of serious injuries, incidents or accidents that have occurred within Football NSW and its affiliated activities. Such incidents may occur at any event or which relates to a player, coach, manager, trainer, match official, committee member, spectator, canteen official, grounds official or volunteer. For the benefit of this document, a serious injury is one that requires hospitalisation and is likely to have a long term effect on a person. Note: For less serious injuries please use the standard FNSW Injury & Incident Reporting Form. Statement Football NSW recognizes the importance of responding to incidents of a serious nature in a responsible and timely manner. To facilitate this, we require the cooperation of appropriate persons to complete and submit accurate reports and providing appropriate documentation, including this Report and other reports that may be required. Process In the event of a serious incident or accident, either at an event, during training or games or whilst travelling to or from training or games, the responsible organisation shall: 1. Respond and act in a quick and caring manner towards injured or affected members of their own club or organisation and other parties. 2. Report the serious injury, incident or accident to the relevant Association or Branch and/ or to Football NSW as quickly as is practically possible (within 12 hours of the incident). 3. Complete the Serious Injury or Accident Report form as quickly as practically possible and submit the documentation to the relevant association/branch and to Football NSW (ideally within 48 hours of the incident). 4. Obtain reports from any witnesses present at the time of the incident or accident and provide to Football NSW as soon as practically possible. 5. Where the matter involves an intentional act of violence then this should be reported appropriately to the relevant Competition Manager and where a serious injury or fatality occurs, to Football NSW. 6. Provide and complete the relevant insurance claim forms (as may be applicable) and submit accordingly. Contact Football NSW in relation to applicable insurance cover and claims. Where a serious injury or fatality occurs which may result in a capital benefit, please liaise directly with Football NSW and ensure that any insurance claim forms are submitted to Football NSW. 6 Guest Directory To ensure that you can make the most of your stay with us at VSP, please be considerate of others and follow the procedures and polices illustrated Office Hours Administration Office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. After Hour assistance and/or Emergencies Night managers are located on level two between rooms 225 and 226 and 228 and 201. Phone 0455 066 571. Alternatively you can call reception for assistance during office hours (8814 4400). Keys One key will be issued per room. Your key is your responsibility. Please ensure all keys are placed in the drop box at reception when checking out. A $25.00 fee is charged for each misplaced key. Care of facilities Is it the responsibility of group leaders to ensure that the group members respect and care for the site. the facility is to be kept in a neat and clean condition at all times. the hirer is to assume full responsibility for any missing or damaged items and costs incurred by Valentine Sports Park caused by any of its group members and/or associates. Noted damages and additional cleaning will be charged directly to the credit card withheld. Please ensure rooms are locked and secure when vacant. Valentine Sports Park assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged goods or items belonging to the hirer and/or its associates. All rooms are equipped with a TV, fridge and tea and coffee services. TV remotes must be returned when checking out. A $25 fee is charged for a misplaced remote control. Cleaning Rooms will have a light clean daily. Housekeeping will replace towels, bin liners and top up tea and coffee. Weekly bookings will have a mid-week linen change. Note: We do not provide additional blankets or pillows. Laundry Services Laundry hours for personal use are: 2.30pm 10.30pm Washers and dryers: $3.00 per load (accepts ONE dollar coins ONLY) See the cleaners office between 6.30am 2.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. Alternatively, reception during office hours 8.30am 5.00pm Drugs and Alcohol No alcohol of any kind is to be brought onto Valentine Sports Park by the hirer and/or any of its group members, guest, invitees or other persons associated with the hirer without the specific prior approval of the Valentine Sports Park Management Office. A fee of $250 will be charged to your club, association or credit card should you or any of your guests bring Alcohol onto Valentine Sports Park. Animals No animal may be admitted to Valentine Sports Park without the specific prior approval of the Valentine Sports Park Management Office and any conditions that may be applied. Noise All guests are asked to practice consideration. Noise must be kept to a minimum especially between 10.00pm and 8.00am. Group supervisors are asked to enforce a curfew of 11pm. Maintenance If there are any problems with your room or furnishing please advise reception or after hours managers (if emergency only) as soon as possible. Facilities Please book all facilities with reception during office hours. Catering Meal times are to be adhered to as closely as possible. Food is not to be taken out of dining area. Room service is not provided. Packed meals can be arranged. These meals must be arranged with reception a minimum of 7 days prior to arrival. Ice Machine The ice machine is located on level one outside the cleaners office. Help yourself to some ice. Lost Property Lost property is held at Reception for a limited period of time and if unclaimed, given to charity. A fee will be charged for any postage and handling. PG 17

Room Courtesy Please use mud stoppers before entering rooms. Do not jump on beds or hang on bed railings. Room fixtures and furnishings must remain in rooms at all times. Mattresses or other room furnishings/equipment must not be removed or taken to other rooms. Switch off lights and air conditioning when not required. Dispose of rubbish in the bins. Please do not remove or push fly screens. Please keep noise to a minimum and respect your neighbours. Notify cleaning staff of any urgent cleaning that is required. 9 Rules & Policy 1. guests shall familiarise themselves with the fire safety procedures and comply immediately with fire or other safety drills, alarms and instructions issued from time to time. 2. guests shall behave appropriately and with discretion at all times, respectful of the facility as well as of other guests. 3. During the quiet hours from 10pm to 8am, guests shall be particularly considerate and refrain from any conduct that could disturb others in the vicinity. 4. A no party policy applies to all guests staying at the accommodation block. 5. With the exception of sight and hearing assistance dogs, all pets are strictly forbidden inside rooms. Any guests breaching this rule will face immediate eviction and may face a cleaning fee of $200. 6. Only registered guests are permitted in the accommodation block. No overnight visitors are permitted. 7. Catered food must be consumed in the dining hall and food waste must be properly disposed of. 8. Cooking in rooms is strictly forbidden with the exception of the use of the kettle. 9. smoking, alcohol and recreational drugs are strictly prohibited. 10. the facilities of Valentine Sports Park are for the enjoyment of all guests and visitors. To this end, care shall be taken to respect all the facilities. In particular, furniture shall not be moved and nothing may be affixed to furniture or walls. 11. guests are expected to keep their rooms and the common areas clean and tidy at all times. 12. guests do not have any tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord or Tenant laws. Football NSW grants guests a license to stay in our accommodation rooms and guests agree that Football NSW may terminate the license at any time without giving you a reason. 13. guests agree to pay Football NSW for any loss or damage to the room, fixtures or equipment in the room during the period of use. 14. guests are to return the key for the room at the time of their departure and agree to pay for a charge for the replacement of keys if they lose or fail to return same. 15. guests agree that any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to the guests, brought into the rooms or the facility generally remain their responsibility and Football NSW is not responsible for its safekeeping. 16. LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GUESTS PROPERTY UNDER the Innkeepers Act 1968, an innkeeper may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest s property even though it was not due to any fault of the innkeeper or any servant in the innkeeper s employ. This liability however: (a) extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the inn, (b) is limited to one hundred dollars to any one guest except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody, PG 22 valentine sports park guest handbook 2014

(c) does not cover motor-vehicles or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals. This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to these premises or that liability thereunder attaches in any particular case. 17. guests agree that they will not make any claim against Football NSW for any damage or loss to guests or visitors goods or valuables, regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred. 18. We will do everything in our power to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. Please understand that we enforce policies and procedures to ensure a satisfactory stay by all our guests and visitors. Valentine Sports Park reserves the right to charge guests cleaning or damage fees or to evict guests without refund and/or inform their parents (or legal guardians) or superiors should they fail to comply with these Rules.
