Great Wonders of New Zealand and Australia Join us for an unforgettable adventure to the magical world "Downunder" - a region blessed with an abundance of natural splendours and endless hospitality. First visit New Zealand's incredible beauty: beautiful steaming geysers and seething mud pools: limestone caves and massive glaciers: fertile farmland and lush rainforests: stunning fiords and spectacular waterfalls. Then on to Australia, with cities that radiate energy, unique animals such as koalas and kangaroos, and natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Kuranda Rainforest. Come with us to discover the uncrowded and enchanting South Pacific. 3 Cairns AUSTRALIA FRIDAY, NOVMBR 4 Day 1 Departure Day The adventure begins! We meet at the airport to begin our exciting trip to the South Pacific. SATURDAY, NOVMBR 5 Day 2 Cross Dateline nroute to New Zealand we cross the International Dateline and effectively lose a day - but we make it up on the way back! SUNDAY, NOVMBR 6 D Day 3 Auckland - Bay of Islands Welcome to the "City of Sails"! We arrive in Auckland, New Zealand, and see one of this capital city's most outstanding features - fourteen extinct volcanoes rise up from the isthmus, offering commanding views. We have a chance to enjoy them as we stretch our legs during our short city tour before heading 3 Brisbane 3 Sydney South Pacific Ocean 2 = overnights Paihia 3 Farm Stay 1 Auckland 2 Rotorua 1 Christchurch Milford Sound 3 Te Anau Queenstown up to the North Country. Our trip will delight with incredible views, photo stops and a break for lunch before arriving at our hotel in the Bay of Islands. MONDAY, NOVMBR 7 BD Day 4 Waitangi Treaty House - Russell Today, we will see some of New Zealand's small towns. First we visit Waitangi to learn about the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Then on to Russell, the first capital of New Zealand and one of the first uropean settlements. Rich in history, Russell has shops, services, and plenty of old charm. This afternoon is free to relax or do more exploring on our own. TUSDAY, NOVMBR 8 BD Day 5 Hole in the Rock Cruise This morning we board our luxury catamaran for the most popular cruise in the Bay of Islands. Our destination is Motukokako Island and the famous "Hole in the Rock". A navigation of the passage through the Hole brings us to the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. On our return we ll meander past secluded islands crowned with pohutukawas (New Zealand's Christmas trees). WDNSDAY, NOVMBR 9 BD Day 6 Farm Stay Leaving the Bay of Islands today, we travel south to an area known for its lush and fertile pastures. Very much a farming community, we will enjoy an exceptional experience tonight as we stay at a local farm. The warm hospitality of friendly New Zealanders in the comfort of their homes, a tour of their farm, plus a traditional home cooked dinner with enlightening conversation, will provide an insight into the farming lifestyle. THURSDAY, NOVMBR 10 BD Day 7 Waitomo - Rotorua After enjoying a hearty breakfast with our farm hosts, we travel to Waitomo, a vast area of limestone formations millions of years old, carved by the seepage of water through lime. One of New Zealand's leading attractions is the glow-worm grotto. Here we are guided into the caves and a short boat trip on an underground river brings us to a cavern lit by the shimmering abdomens of countless tiny glow-worms - a spectacular and unique experience. Next, we stop at the Agrodome to see examples of the way of life on a sheep farm and learn about the local agricultural industry. Finally, we arrive at our destination - the thermal wonderland of Rotorua. Tonight we visit a local marae and enjoy a Maori Hangi dinner and concert. FRIDAY, NOVMBR 11 BL Day 8 Rotorua We spend the day in Rotorua. Our first stop is the Te Puia Thermal Reserve with boiling mud pools, spouting geysers, steaming silica terraces, and the national schools of weaving, wood, stone and bone carving. Later, we enjoy lunch at the Skyline Restaurant which is based at the top of the Gondola and allows for magnificent panoramic views of Rotorua and area. The remainder of the afternoon is free to enjoy the surroundings. SATURDAY, NOVMBR 12 BD Day 9 To Christchurch This morning we are taken to the airport for the flight to Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. The city was founded in 1850 as a model church settlement by a group of pioneers from Britain. The devastating earthquake of 2011 caused extensive damage to the city centre and the rebuilding is still in progress. After arriving we will have a short orientation tour of the city before checking into our hotel. SUNDAY, NOVMBR 13 BD Day 10 Christchurch - Queenstown After breakfast we depart across the patchwork Canterbury Plains and enter Mackenzie country. A stop is made to view the famous Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo before continuing alongside the azure-blue waters of Lake Pukaki into the majestic Southern Alps region dominated by Mount Cook. Later, we carry on via the town of Omarama, and across the stark and beautiful Lindis Pass. From here our journey winds into the orchard district of Cromwell and the rugged Kawarau Gorge before reaching the historic gold mining township of Arrowtown. Here we have a chance to revisit New Zealand's Gold Rush years and wander the historical streets of the town. Then we travel on to the beautiful resort area of Queenstown. MONDAY, NOVMBR 14 BL Day 11 Milford Sound This morning we depart for the magnificent Milford Sound travelling first to Mossburn, then over the Gorge Hill Pass to Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park. Through the beech forests of the glinton Valley we head to Milford where we are taken on a cruise of the fiord, and the opportunity to admire the sheer mountain cliffs and breathtaking waterfalls. Lunch is served onboard before we return to Queenstown for overnight. TUSDAY, NOVMBR 15 BD Day 12 Free Day Today is a free day to enjoy all there is in the "Adventure Capital" of the world. You could try bungee jumping, a jet boat ride on the Shot Over River or maybe take a tour of the "Lord of the Rings" film sites. There is also golfing close by or

shopping in the town centre. This evening is a special treat as we travel by TSS arnslaw Steamship to Walter Peak Station for a farming demonstration and gourmet BBQ dinner in the Colonel's Homestead. We will see the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Botanical Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, Kings Cross, Bondi Beach, the historic Rocks area and trendy Paddington. A luncheon cruise from Circular Quay will give us spectacular offshore views of this dynamic city and its landmarks. Afterward we are treated to a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House. The remaining afternoon is at your leisure to wander the area and make your own way back to the hotel. Upon arrival in Cairns we are taken to our hotel and have some free time to enjoy the tropical surroundings. SUNDAY, NOVMBR 20 BL Day 17 Cruise the Great Barrier Reef One of the main reasons one travels to Northern Queensland is to experience the Great Barrier Reef - the largest and most complex expanse of coral reefs in the world. We travel by catamaran to Green Island where snorkeling gear is provided, or, if you prefer, view the marine life from a glass bottom boat. We also cruise to one of the Outer Reefs to get a closer look at this incredible natural spectacle. Lunch will be served before we return to Cairns in the late afternoon. MONDAY, NOVMBR 21 BL Day 18 Kuranda Rainforest xperience This will be an unforgettable full day tour into the Kuranda Rainforest. We arrive at Freshwater Rail Station for the historic train journey through the Barron Gorge to Kuranda. From here the trip continues on WWII amphibious Army Ducks through the jungle and onto a lake to observe different species of flora and fauna. For a grand conclusion, we have an exhilarating 7.5 km ride on the Skyrail, gliding above the pristine rainforest canopy, which will allow us to see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical environment. TUSDAY, NOVMBR 22 BD Day 19 Cairns to Brisbane We leave Cairns today and will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Brisbane. On arrival we are met and taken to our hotel. Steve and Terri Irwin's vision was to make this the biggest and best wildlife conservation facility in the world. Cuddle a koala, handfeed a kangaroo, walk alongside a Bengal Tiger, wrap a snake around your shoulders, or see a massive Saltwater Crocodile from the water's edge. After an exciting and informative day we return to our hotel in Brisbane. We continue to South Bank with its 17 hectares of lush parklands, world-class eateries, and stunning river views. njoy some free time for lunch before our last stop at Kangaroo Point to see Brisbane's most recognizable icon, the famous Story Bridge. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to relax or to do some exploring on your own. This evening's dinner will be a memorable experience cruising aboard an authentic paddle wheeler, and an opportunity to toast the success of our wonderful tour. FRIDAY, NOVMBR 25 B Day 22 Return Home This morning we are taken to the airport to begin our journey home, crossing the International Dateline on route to North America.
