Northeast Adventure Day 1-Sao Luis Evening arrival at Sao Luis airport, where you will meet your local tour conductor and transfer to the hotel. State capital of Maranhão São Luís is a city full of traditions and culture. Founded in 1612, it is home to beautiful mansions and townhouses as well as historical town squares. Listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, much of the colonial architecture dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries has been restored. The city now houses cultural centers, museums, shops and restaurants. esides history, the city preserves its traditions. The folkloric events and the architecture of the churches built in the days of slavery are evidence of the vitality and strength of the cultural traditions still alive today. Check in at Pestana Sao Luis The Hotel is located on one of the best costal strips on Pebble each on the island of São Luis, less than ten minutes from the Historic Center. With a great emphasis on leisure and comfort, the hotel is an ideal point to discover the charm of São Luis which is home to the biggest collection of Portuguese architecture in the Americas. Day 2-Sao Luis This morning or afternoon, make a historical walk in the old downtown center of São Luís, a trip to the colonial times of razil is what you ll experience on this tour through the streets of the historical center of São Luis, the only city in razil to be founded by the French and not the Portuguese. Day 3-Sao Luis / arreirinhas After breakfast, depart in a private car to the city of arreirinhas, located around 3 hours from Sao Luis, the city is the main gate for those who intend to visit the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Lençóis Maranhenses State Park, also known as the razilian Sahara, offers its visitors incredible scenery of infinite oceans and tall white dunes, as well as thousands of crystal-clear lakes. Lencois Maranhenses is best reached from the city of arreirinhas. Tours are offered in 4x4 vehicles, crossing small rivers onboard thrilling wooden boats, driving through mile-long white sand dunes and fresh-water lakes. Check in at Porto Preguiça Resort Located on the river banks of the Preguiça River and just 10 minutes by car from downtown arreirinhas, the Porto Preguiças Resort is surrounded by a natural and well preserved forest. This charming hotel offers comfortable rooms which feature cosy and rustic decorations. Guests can enjoy the pool surrounded by sand, the game room, the fitness center, the sauna, the river with kayaks, the lecture room, the bar and restaurant. Day 4- arreirinhas Leave in the morning in a 4x4 vehicle to the Rio Cardosa for a floatation ride, return to the hotel, in the afternoon tour in a private 4x4 vehicle to the lakes of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, the valleys between the golden landscape are filled with crystal clear blue lagoons, and the result is simply breathtaking. Evening at leisure Day 5- arreirinhas / Lençois Maranhenses After breakfast, depart by speed boa (voadeira) through the Preguiças River down to the village of Caburé, the tour make some stops to visit the Pequenos Lençóis and some other small communities along the way, return to the hotel by the end of the day. Day 6- arreirinhas / Parnaiba After breakfast, check out the hotel and departure in a 4x4 vehicle crossing the Pequenos Lençóis until the village of Paulino Neves and then by road to the city of Parnaíba. Day 9-arra Grande/ Jericoacoara Leaving in the afternoon in a 4x4 vehicle to the village of Jericoacoara, 200 km away. In the first 130 km the trip is by road up to the city of Camocim, then we will cross the river Coreaú and continue by beach, according to the tide. Continue the trip for more 60 km through dunes, beaches and mangroves until we reach the village of Jericoacoara. Jericoacoara is an ecological paradise located in an area of environmental preservation, it is small fishing village located in the state of Ceará, around 5 hours from Fortaleza. The sandy streets and absence of streetlights contrast with the lively nightlife and tourism infrastructure. The long coastline of beaches, dunes, clear freshwater lakes and warm natural pools make a perfect setting. The Duna do Pôr do Sol is a must see in the late afternoon. For water sports lovers, this is the place. Here, windsurfers and kitesurfers come from around the world find the perfect amount of wind and waves of all sizes, allowing for the practice of several styles. Canoeing, fishing, capoeira, boating, horseback riding and bike riding are also highly recommended in this natural paradise. The intensity of the sun makes the sand dunes change color every instant, and the tidal movement is so extreme that it leaves one beach full of water reaching up to the dunes, while another is so dry that the boats are left anchored in the desert. Check in at Chili each hotel The traditional architecture meets selective contemporary décor to create a chic and glamorous atmosphere. Day 7-Parnaiba/arra Grande Leaving in the morning in a speed boat tour visiting the Delta do Parnaíba, the biggest delta in the Américas, return for free lunch time. In the afternoon depart by road in a private car to the beach of arra Grande, located 80 km from Parnaiba. Check in at Pousada GK The GK is a pousada built with natural materials typical of the area and located right on the waterfront, under the shade of a huge palm tree grove. The distribution of the rooms allows guests to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere. The pousada is located in front of the best kite surf spot. Day 8-arra Grande Day at leisure.
Day 10-11-Jericoacoara Day at leisure to enjoy the beach, village and relax at the hotel. Day 12-Jericoacoara/Fortaleza After breakfast, depart transfer from the Hotel Chili each in Jericoacoara to the Fortaleza airport
