(Commercial Electronics ) Attempt Only on Exterior door to the Auto Installation Center. The door handle was broken off. Reporting party, General Manager for business stated that unknown suspect(s) attempted to break into their store between 11:30pm and the following morning @ 8:00am. Suspect(s) broke off the rear door handle, leading into their Auto Installation Center. Entry was not gained. Manager stated that numerous other locations have had their stores broken into the same way. Victim advises he left home this morning at about 7:45am returned at 1:00pm and discovered the front door forced open. Items are missing from the residence. From: 03/29/2015 1:00am To: 03/29/2015 11:30am 03/29/2015 10:14pm 25000 W Eight Mile Rd (Apartments) 20000 Lasher Rd. (Apartments) Apartment door was forced open. Apartment door was damaged. Attempt only. Tips: Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248) 796-5409 Victim stated he returned home from a night out at the bar at around 1:00am 03/29/2013. Victim stated he was intoxicated at the time he arrived home and immediately went to bed and fell asleep. Victim stated he woke up at 11:30am the following morning and observed his apartment door had been broken in. After observing the door being broken victim checked the entire apartment and nothing had been taken. Victim states he heard nothing. Victim states sometime between 11:30am- 10:00pm someone attempted to gain entry into her apartment. Victim noticed that the door was cracked above the doorknob and the deadbolt was out of place.

It is unknown how entry was gained. No suspect information. Victim stated she parked her 2006 Gold Chevy Trailblazer in the driveway at 6:00pm on 03/24/2015. Victim discovered her vehicle missing at 9:30pm on 03/24/2015.

Victim returned home on 03/27/2015 at approx. 11:30pm and observed his vehicle no longer parked in the parking space. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim advises his license plate was taken between 03/21/2015 and 03/25/2015. The vehicle was parked at his Apartment Complex in the 26000 Block of Berg Rd. From: 03/25/2015 11:30pm To: 03/26/2015 6:45am 28000 Lockdale (Apartments) Coin change and a Hospital Work Badge were taken from victims 2009 Jeep. Victim parked her vehicle at location on 03/25/2015 at approx. 11:30pm. Victim came back out to her vehicle on 03/26/2015 at approx. 6:45am to find coin change and her Hospital Work Badge missing. From: 03/25/2015 2:00pm To: 03/26/2015 1:45pm 20000 Forestwood Victims 2013 Dodge Journey was ransacked. Nothing missing from the vehicle. Victim advises sometime between 2:00pm and the following day at 1:45pm someone gained entry into victim s vehicle through an unlocked door and then ransacked the vehicle. Doesn t appear that anything is missing from the vehicle.
03/26/2015 8:48am 27000 Red Leaf Ln. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2015 Lincoln MKZ Vehicle was last seen intact at around 10:45pm. A neighbor discovered the theft the following morning at 7:45am. The neighbor notified victim. From: 03/25/2015 5:00pm To: 03/26/2015 7:00am 18000 South Dr. (Apartments) Victims 2012 Chevy Malibu was ransacked. Nothing missing from vehicle. Victim states she parked her 2012 Chevy Malibu in her carport in front of her apartment on 03/25/15 around 5:00pm. Victim returned to her vehicle the following morning at 7:00am and discovered her glove box and center console were open and items were thrown around inside the passenger compartment. Victim checked the vehicle and did not discover any items missing.

Victim advises his Handgun is missing and a Pr. of Sunglasses is missing from the interior of vehicle.

After realizing there wasn t anything in it he threw it back at victim. Victim stated he was backed in a parking spot on the north side of Hotel in his Black GMC Terrain. Victim stated an unknown W/M approached the driver side window and tapped on the window with the barrel of his handgun. The suspect appeared to be nervous. The suspect demanded victim s wallet. Victim gave the suspect his wallet. The suspect realized there wasn t any money inside the wallet and threw it back at victim. The suspect left the parking lot in a Grey Ford Taurus early 2000 Model. The suspect was wearing a baseball hat and a black jacket with a white logo (similar/possibly to a Northface). The suspect was a W/M, late 20 s, 5 10, thin, with scruffy facial hair. The suspect had a handgun. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Attempt B&E Over Night At Commercial Electronics Business From: 03/25/2015 11:30pm To: 03/26/2015 8:00am 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Arrests by SPD Officers: OWI= Operate While Impaired OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics LFA= Larceny From Auto R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property DWLS= Driving With Suspended License A&B= Assault & Battery CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon NOLOP= No Operator License on Person R/A= Robbery Armed PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver PPO= Personal Protection Order Misrep With Intent To Obstruct A Police Officer. 1- Arrest 03/25/2015 2:18am Lasher Rd & S Tuller Ct. Officers made a traffic stop and were working a Narcotics Investigation. During the investigation one of the passengers gave Officers false information about his identity. The person s true identity was eventually discovered and he was arrested for Obstructing Police. This person also had a Probation Violation Warrant for Dangerous Drugs.
Special Attention: Bomb Threat 03/25/2015 2:23pm 26000 Evergreen Rd. Southfield Officers responded to a Bomb Threat. Employee received a bomb threat on their main switchboard. The caller told employee a bomb would go off in two and one half hours. The suspect was later located and arrested. OWI- 1- Arrest Telegraph/ Franklin Rd. Officer was dispatched to the above area reference a possible OWI driver. Dispatch advised that a citizen was following a vehicle that was all over the road. A short time later the citizen reported that the vehicle left the roadway and struck a building. Upon arrival it was evident that the operator was intoxicated. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI. Possession of Marijuana/ Resisting Arrest 1- Arrest 03/25/2015 12:43am 20000 Boardwalk Blvd. Officers were out with a subject in reference to a narcotics investigation. Suspect attempted to walk away from Officers. Officer s ordered suspect to return until the investigation was complete. Suspect disregarded Officer s lawful verbal direction and he continued walking away. Officer s physically stopped suspect from leaving the scene and placed him under arrest. Officer s conducted a custodial search of suspect and found a small clear baggie of suspected Marijuana and a pocket scale on his person. Suspect was conveyed to the station without further incident. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected marijuana. The result was positive for possible presence of Marijuana.
Special Attention: Citizen s that witness suspicious activity in Southfield should immediately report activity to the Southfield Police Dept. through the non- emergency #. (248-796-5500) If the activity is in progress or if in your best judgments that the police are needed immediately then call 911! OWI- 1- Arrest 12 Mile/ Telegraph Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle for driving erratically and disobeying a stop sign. Upon approaching the driver is was evident that she consumed intoxicating beverages. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI. OWI- 1- Arrest Telegraph Rd/ Civic Center Dr. Officer was dispatched to area reference a possible OWI driver. Officer located the vehicle in the area of the location and initiated a stop for erratic driving. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI. OWI- 1- Arrest 12 Mile Rd. / Telegraph Rd. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on W/B 12 Mile Road East of Telegraph and stopped it to investigate. Upon speaking with the driver it appeared that he may have been under the influence of intoxicants. After the investigation was completed the driver was arrested for OWI and lodged.
OWI- 1- Arrest 10 Mile Rd. / Evergreen Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle for driving with its high beams on and suspected the driver of operating her vehicle while intoxicated. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI. OWI- 1-Arrest 8 Mile Rd. / Sherman Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and suspected the driver was operating her vehicle while intoxicated. An OWI investigation was completed and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI.
