Welcome to the St Kilda Sports Club The St. Kilda Sports Club is one of most iconic and vibrant hotspots in St Kilda. With a membership of 500 and a steady stream of guests and barefooters, new generations continue to flock to the Clubs historic grounds and welcoming clubrooms. Whether it be as a film and television location with, The Secret Life of Us, Coxy s Big Break, Party Tricks, or as the host for massive parties like the JJJ Hottest 100 or hosting all the big sporting events, 150 years on, this Club continues to get stronger and stronger. Today you only need to see the hundreds of young bowlers barefoot, the families at the BBQ, the kids tearing around the groomed gardens to know that something amazing is happening to lawn bowling something amazing is happening at St Kilda Sports Club!
A Potted History of the Sports Club The club started as St Kilda Bowling Club and was formed in 1865, it is the second oldest Club in Australia.. The oldest part of the clubhouse was built in 1876 and is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. The green is the oldest in Australia and protected by Heritage Victoria. With additions in 1927 and the most recent structure dating to 1967, the Club has an eclectic style that reflects its long history. With major refurbishment in 2013 and 2014 the Clubrooms reflect the very best of the Clubs history. The Club was incorporated in 1987 and in 1993 its name was changed to St Kilda Sports Club.
Sponsorship Opportunities in 2016 St. Kilda Sports Club enjoys an incredible amount of visitors each year. Last year (2014) 70,000 people visited the Club. This includes members, social bowling/general patrons, corporate functions and community/charity events. In December alone 12,000 people visited the club. St Kilda Sports Club is a unique club. Today we incorporate four sport sections, St Kilda Bowling Club, St Kilda Petanque Club, Emerald Hill Cricket Club and St Kilda Darts Club.
