2016 2017 Annual report 1
Introduction Vision and goals In October 18 th 2012, the IPN Student Chapter was established, after two years the name was changed to IPN Azcapotzalco SPIE Student Chapter in order to allow other IPN branches to form their own chapters. Most of our members are PhD and Master Students from the Centro de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica (CIITEC - Azcapotzalco) in Mexito City. The other members are postgraduates and undergraduates from Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (ESIME Azcapotzalco and ESIME - Zacatenco) and Universidad de Quintana Roo, campus Chetumal (UQROO). Our objective is to keep together the student community from IPN Azcapotzalco and UQROO who are interested in image processing, optics and photonics research fields. Our activities are categorised into three groups: Scientific and Academic activities. Social and Networking activities. Educational activities.
