At Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by the friendly safari team who will transfer you to Arusha. Overnight at Arusha Serena Hotel, Resort & Spa (standard room) with breakfast included. DAY 2: Arusha Town / Lake Manyara National Park Estimate driving time to park: 3 hours Distance to park: 130 km We do an en-route stop after breakfast at a supermarket in Arusha for last minute shopping (buy drinks to enjoy in your vehicles while on safari). As you approach Lake Manyara National Park, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the eastern horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. Travel through the local town of Mto Wa Mbu (Maasai for Mosquito Village the only place in Tanzania which represents all of its tribes 120 ethnic groups) to Lake Manyara National Park followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. The mosaic of the Park's diverse habitats is easily seen: the rift wall, the ground water forest, acacia woodlands, open grassland, the lakeshore, swamp and the lake itself. DAY 3: Lake Manyara National Park / Ngorongoro Crater Distance between parks: 60 km Estimate driving time between parks: 2 hours After breakfast drives to Ngorongoro Crater and descends 600 m into the magnificent crater for game drives. You will witness an unforgettable spectacle of African wildlife - a world teeming with animals. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the park supports a vast variety of animals, which also includes the black rhino. Another big draw to this picturesque park is the dense population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs
and the ever-elusive leopard. You will also drive through the haunting forest and feast your eyes on some of the most spectacularly green vegetation you will ever see. DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater / Serengeti National Park Distance between parks: 145 km Estimate driving time between parks: 3 hours After breakfast drive to the Serengeti National Park. Watching two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle crossing the Serengeti and Mara Plains is a once-in-alifetime experience.
