2017 Exhibit Listing & Rules The Purpose of the fair is to encourage the exhibition of agriculture products and livestock while promoting agri-business in the region. Every precaution is taken to insure the safety of individuals, vehicles and other property from theft or damage. However, Wilson County Fair, Inc., American Legion Post 13, their officers, employees or members are not responsible for fire, theft, accidents or injuries EXHIBIT SCHEDULE/ENTRIES ACCEPTED: Youth and Adults: Saturday, September 16th - 2:00pm - 4:00pm Youth and Adults: Sunday, September 17th - 2:00pm - 5:00 pm Tablescape and Holiday Tree entries Sunday, September 17th - 4:00pm - 6:00pm Prepared Foods and Cut Flowers Only - Monday, September 18th - 8:00am - 11:00am EXHIBIT HALLS OPEN FOR VIEWING: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 4:00-9:00pm Saturdays: Noon - 9:30pm Sunday: 1pm - 9pm PICK UP EXHIBITS AND PREMIUMS: Monday, September 25th 4pm - 6:00pm ** In the event of an emergency, when exhibits cannot be picked up on September 25 th, you will need to make arrangements to do so on September 26 th. After September 26 th, entries and premiums become property of the fair. RULES: (PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW ALL RULES) 1. No peddling, hawking, vending or distributing of advertising matter or shows will be permitted on the fairgrounds including parking area except by authorization from Fair Management. 2. Drunkenness, quarreling or the use of profane or obscene language will not be permitted on the grounds. The Fair reserves the right to expel any objectionable person from the fairgrounds without refund of entry fees or admission. 3. Reasonable space will be allowed to all exhibitors up to the capacity of the buildings, grounds, shelves, and showcases. 4. Fair management will appoint judges who shall award the premiums as they interpret the rules. 5. Exhibitors please note carefully any special rules for each department or category and comply with the same. 6. Exhibits submitted after Monday, September 18 th at 11:00am are not eligible for judging and premiums, but may be displayed if the Exhibit Director deems the exhibit appropriate. 7. No article or animal shall be entitled to space until proper entry has been made. 8. Exhibitor s business cards, pamphlets, etc., may be distributed only after judging is complete. 9. No exhibits shipped collect to the Fair will be accepted. 10. Exhibits must remain in place until Monday, September 25 th. Early pick-up will result in forfeiture of premium. 11. Only one person will be admitted to the fair per ticket 12. All exhibitors agree to comply with the rules of Wilson County Fair. 13. Fair management reserves the right to remove from the grounds any exhibit, concession or display that may be falsely entered or deemed unsuitable. 14. Exhibitor Passes: Any exhibitor entering at least 10 items for exhibit at the fair will receive one free admission to the fair (not one ticket for each 10 items entered). Commercial Exhibitors and Vendors will be issued limited passes from the Fair Office. 15. Pre-Registration online, fax, or mail must be received by September 14, 2017. 16. Wilson County Fair, Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 17. Total Premium to be paid = over $15,000

Photographs must be done by exhibitor. Story Telling Sequence must be 4 photos that are mounted together, maximum size of 15 x 30, considered one entry. Each item entered must be framed or mounted on a board with a hanger to support the art work for proper exhibition. A photo that has been entered in previous years will not be judged.

224 ) J. Educational Booths Coordinator: Sandra Carter Educational booths are an opportunity for community organizations to highlight their mission and work within our community. All subject matter subject to approval of fair management. 1. FFA/4-H 2. Community 3. Schools Total Premiums - $450 First Place - $100.00 Second Place - $75.00 Third Place $50.00 RULES 1. Booths must prominently display the Fair Theme. 2. Any booth failing to use the Fair s theme will not judged. 3. Groups are responsible for decorating, maintaining and removing their displays within specified times. Groups are also responsible for their own supplies: i.e. tap, pins, ladders, paint, poster board, etc. 4. Prizes will be awarded only after displays are removed. 5. Booth space is 8 front to back by 10 side to side. 6. Booths may be set-up on Saturday, September 16th from 2 pm - 4 pm. Must be set-up by 11 am on Monday, September 18th. 7. Booths are to be removed Monday, September 25 th from 4-6PM.

WILSON COUNTY FAIR BOARD MEMBERS Wilson County Fair, Inc., founded in 1933, is a private, not-for-profit organization committed to serving the citizens of Wilson County and the surrounding areas. American Legion Post 13 elects 12 of its members to serve on the Fair s Board of Directors. Six Community leaders are elected by the Fair Board to complete the 18 member Fair Board of Directors. The Fair Board is charged with maintaining the fairground and facilities while promoting activities of interest to the community in addition to the annual agricultural fair. The Fair Board employs the Fair Manager who serves as Secretary for the Fair Board.
