ALL boys, including Tigers, must register with BSA to attend camp! Tigers must register with their Adult Partner as members of BSA before they can register for camp. All Tigers must have an adult partner who participates with them and is with them at camp at all times. This person registers with BSA as a Tiger Adult Partner with their son. This is BSA policy. NO EXEPTIONS! Medical Forms: All persons in camp including campers and staff, youth and adults must submit Part A and Part B only of an Annual BSA Health and Medical Record dated after July 10, 2014. For a fillable PDF please go to: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/healthsafety/pdf/680-001_abc.pdf Medical forms not submitted in advance will need to be processed with the camp medical officer Monday morning of camp before a camper can be signed in. What to Wear: Official Day Camp Uniform is the camp shirt, swim trunks, tennis shoes and sunscreen. All camp staff, volunteers and campers MUST wear the camp uniform EVERYDAY. This uniform helps us make camp safer by easily identifying each other and strangers. Extra shirts may be ordered when you register. Closed toe and heel shoes (such as tennis shoes) are required per BSA Camp Policy. No Croc type shoes, flip-flops, or sandals. Campers may wear water shoes during water activities. Any camper without proper shoes on cannot be allowed to participate until appropriate shoes are brought in. Campers should come to camp each morning with a good layer of sunscreen already on, and reapply as needed while at camp. What to Bring: A bag lunch (lunch box) with a drink--refrigeration is not available, but lunch is kept indoors in an air-conditioned area. Swim towel, trunks (if not worn), water shoes (optional) and extra sunscreen. Do not bring toys, electronics (including cell phones), valuables etc. Label everything! Monday Morning you will be greeted and checked in by camp administration, told which den your camper is in and receive your camp shirt. You may then need to see the camp Medical Officer. You will then go to your assigned den area. You will meet your Den Leader and sign-in your camper. This is where your camper will be signed in each morning and signed out after closing ceremony. Sign in is at 8:30am. Camp leaders are preparing for a great day at camp and are not able to sign in campers before this time. Sign out is at 3:30pm daily after the closing ceremony Late arrivals and early releases must go to HQ to sign in and out. Volunteers All volunteers are appreciated and receive an official Yamasee Cub Day Camp t-shirt and patch! Adults and youths can volunteer as camp staff Youth volunteers include Boy s, Venture Crew members, and siblings of Cub s. Youth must be 14 years old or have special permission from the Camp Director Volunteers must agree to: supervise campers, maintain safety and discipline at all times, be an example setter, and encourage situations where every camper has an opportunity to participate, grow, and have a fun and memorable experience. Volunteers must be at camp signed in and ready for the staff meeting no later than 8AM every day. 2015 Day Camp Parents and Leaders Guide Page 4 of 5

Volunteer positions at camp require that volunteers be in good physical condition, be able to be outside for several consecutive hours in the sun, and walk and stand much of the day. If volunteers do not meet these criteria and still want to volunteer they should contact the camp director. Volunteers must have completed Youth Protection Training and provide a copy of the certificate (adults only). This training must be done every 2 years. Go to www.myscouting.org to create an account or to print certificates. You do not need a membership number to register for training. Volunteers attend training prior to camp. At this training all camp staff will orient to this years program schedule, learn key information about camp administration, and receive a summary of the duties and responsibilities for their volunteer position. Training will be offered on three occasions to accommodate schedules. Volunteers need to attend only one session. If a volunteer cannot attend any session then they should contact the camp director prior to registration. Training dates are: Monday, June 22 at 6pm-8pm, Saturday, June 27 at 9am-11am and Thursday, July 2 at 6pm-8pm. 8:40-8:55 9:00-9:35 9:40-10:15 10:20-10:55 11:00-11:35 11:40-12:15 12:20-12:55 1:00-1:35 1:40-2:15 2:20-2:55 3:00-3:25 Tiger Den Wolf Example of a Daily Camp Schedule Wolf Bear Opening Ceremony Bear Crafts Sports Sports Games Games BB Guns Sports Crafts Crafts Games Games BB Guns Games Games Games Sports Sports BB or Games Games Crafts Crafts Den 3 BB Guns Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunchroom Lunchroom Lunchroom Lunchroom 131 131 131 BB Guns Crafts Crafts Crafts BB Guns Sports Sports Sports BB Guns Games Games Games BB Guns Games Games Games Closing Ceremony 2015 Day Camp Parents and Leaders Guide Page 5 of 5
