Join Us For Pacifica District s Webelos Woods September 23-25, 2016 El Dorado East Regional Park, Long Beach What is Webelos Woods? Webelos Woods is an outdoor activity program designed to aid in the Webelos to-scout Transition plan. The purpose of this outdoor experience is to create in all Webelos Scouts a genuine desire to know more about Boy Scouting, and through a fun-filled series of events to give them a preview of the thrills of scout skills and camping. Probably nothing in the scouting program appeals to boys more than the opportunity for adventure in the great outdoors. The Webelos Woods event will expose the participants to glimpses of the fun and skills of Boy Scouting. It also offers an opportunity for parents to gain a perspective on troop programming and the opportunity to graduate along with their sons. Who can attend? All Pacifica District Webelos Scouts are invited to participate, but each Scout must be accompanied by their parent, guardian or any family member over 18 years of age. Due to the limited size of this event, we ask that no siblings attend. When is it? Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 23-25, 2016 Where is it? El Dorado East Regional Park, 7550 E Spring St, Long Beach, CA 90815 Some of the activities you can expect to experience include: Camping, Cooking, Fire Building Skills, Games, Leadership, Scoutcraft, Scout skills plus fun crafts and an exciting campfire program! Webelos Scouts will also have the opportunity to work on some of the requirements for Webelos Adventures. Cost: Early bird price is $35.00 per person if received by Monday August 1, 2016, or $45.00 per person until August 29, 2016. All activities will be in the Youth Group Campground area. NOTE: Vehicles must pay an admission charge to the park on entry. ($6 on Fridays or $7 on weekends). Participants may wish to carpool and should plan to stay for the entire event. Park gates close to car and foot traffic at 8:00pm and re-open at 7:00am. Cars may exit only at any time via the Wardlow Rd gate to the north of the park.

WEBELOS WOODS 2016 REGISTRATION This camp is expected to fill up fast, so register early! The fee for the camp is $45.00 per PERSON. Pre-registration is required to attend this event. Early bird discount is $35.00 per PERSON if received by Monday August 1, 2016. Registration for Pacifica Webelos Scouts and their adult partners opens on: Tuesday April 19, 2016 Complete a separate registration form for each Scout attending. All registrations must be received by Monday August 29, 2016. No refunds will be given but registrations may be transferred to another name. Make checks payable to: GLAAC-BSA. Write Pacifica Webelos Woods on the memo line. Note: A $15.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. To pay by credit card, call the LAAC Cashier at (213) 413-4400 ext. 0. Required Forms to submit with registration: Payment Registration Form BSA Health Forms, Parts A&B only, for both scout and adult. Health forms can be found online at http://www.scouting.org/filestore/healthsafety/pdf/680-001_ab.pdf. They can be completed online, then printed and signed before mailing. Registration will not be considered complete until BSA Health Forms A and B for both Webelos Scout and Adult are received via mail at Greater Los Angeles Area Council (GLAAC). Make sure to fill out all forms completely and sign and date them! Forms to bring to camp: Tour Plan. Each Pack must fill one out and make copies for every Webelos Scout/adult pair attending.
