Thursday, May 19 : BREISACH. Germany You have two exciting excursions to choose from today. The first is a walking tour of Riquewihr, a picturesque town that looks much as it did back in the 16th century. A second option is a walking tour of Breisach and Freiburg. Breisach is a beautiful town on that houses one of Europe s largest wine cellars. In Freiburg, you will visit the historical city center and the Augustinerplatz, site of Freiburg s Münster, a Gothic cathedral constructed of red sandstone. Friday, May 20: STRASBOURG, France Capital city of France s Alsace region, Strasbourg is situated on the Rhine at the German border. After arriving this morning, enjoy a panoramic tour that will take you past the Orangery, the town s oldest park, the European Parliament and the Place de la Republique. Afterwards, explore on foot with a walking tour of the lovely La Petite France neighborhood, where you will see the Gothic cathedral with its famous astronomical clock. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you wish. The ship moors in Strasbourg overnight. Saturday, May 21: SPEYER - HEIDELBERG, GERMANY Early this afternoon, arrive in Speyer, one of Germany s oldest cities, known for its Cathedral, churches, and the Altpörtel a 13th-century gate tower. Choose either a tour of Medieval Speyer or a half day excursion to Heidelberg, where you will visit the red-walled Castle and its Great Vat, a 49,000-gallon 18th-century wine cask, and see beautiful views of the Neckar Valley and Heidelberg below. You will have free time to wander what is said to be the longest pedestrian shopping street in Germany, the Haupstrasse, or simply relax in a café. The ship moors overnight in Speyer.
Sunday, May 22 : RÜDESHEIM - KOBLEN This morning, arrive in Rüdesheim and visit Siegfried s Mechanical Instrument Museum. You will also have time to explore the Drosselgasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns and restaurants, followed by a wine tasting at a local vintner. As an alternative to the museum, treat yourself to a tasting of Rüdesheimer coffee. A third option for your Rudesheim visit is to take a Gondola Ride above the town to see the Niederwalddenkmal StatueThis afternoon, your ship departs for Koblenz and cruises through the Rhine Gorge, the most stunningly beautiful stretch of the river, with hillsides dotted with fairy-tale castles. After arriving in Koblenz this evening, your Cruise Manager will take you on a walking tour through this charming town. The ship moors here overnight. Monday, May 23: COLOGNE The ship cruises to Cologne today, where you will have an afternoon walking tour of the old part of the city and visit the fabled 13th-century gothic cathedral. Enjoy some free time to explore on your own. The ship departs this evening for Amsterdam. Tuesday, May 24: AMSTERDAM After arriving around noon, your tour of Amsterdam begins with a scenic canal cruise through the city known as the Venice of the North. See the beautiful homes that line the water, the fabled Skinny Bridge, and the famous house where Anne Frank once lived in hiding during WWII. You will also have a panoramic city tour of the great landmarks of Amsterdam, including a picturesque windmill. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore Amsterdam before returning to the ship, which moors here overnight. If competitive airfare is found available from Indianapolis, this may change, but in any event, you can upgrade your trip by including roundtrip airfare from Indianapolis to Chicago and back. Single occupancy is available for additional fee. Final rates will be determined once airfare is confirmed. The price is based upon the current rate of exchange for the Euro. Travel to Remember reserves the right to adjust the final cost to reflect the actual exchange rate at 120 days prior to the trip. Payment Schedule: A deposit of $500. per traveler will be due by September 1, 2014. An additional payment of $1500.00 will be due January 15, 2016. Final Payment as invoiced will be due May 15, 2016. Alternate payment schedules can be arranged. Cancellation: Once you have made a payment, If you must cancel before 120 days prior to the trip, you will be entitled to a full refund. Between 120 days and 30 days prior to the trip, you will be entitled to a refund of the total trip cost less the cost of the airline ticket and any non refundable deposits paid to hotels and other vendors. If you cancel less than 30 days prior, there will be no refund. If you cancel after 120 days prior and the airfare has been paid, you may be entitled to an airline credit less the change fee assessed by the airline. Usually you have one year to use the value of the ticket minus the change fee set by the airline, currently at $300.00. Cancellations after 120 days will incur a $100 administrative fee. Trip Insurance: Trip insurance may be purchased to protect the cost of the trip in case of a last minute emergency. To cover pre-existing conditions, trip insurance must be purchased within 14 days of the initial deposit. Once you have placed a deposit for this trip, I will provide you with a brochure that you may choose to use. Baggage: Most airlines allow for one free checked bag on international flights. You will be charged for a second checked bag. Please check the website for specific prices. You will be allowed a small carryon and one personal bag. Please be sure you meet the specifications for the carry on bag so you are not surprised with a charge at check in. Selection of Vendors: Travel to Remember, LLC will use the following guidelines for the selection of international and domestic land and air suppliers. All suppliers will be chosen from those recommended by other known and trusted vendors in our industry. We will look for suppliers that have a proven track record for safety and a reputation for being the most experienced local receptive operators. Suppliers will be expected to comply with all local insurance and licensing regulations. One of the tour managers from Travel to Remember will accompany all excursions to make sure that the suppliers provides the best in service and customer response.
