North River Nature Day Camp North River Wildlife Sanctuary Marshfield, MA DISCOVER. EXPLORE. BE OUTSIDE! SUMMER 2018

ABOUT CAMP North River Nature Camp in Marshfield encourages children s lasting curiosity about the natural world. Campers have fun, make friends, and come to better understand and appreciate nature through outdoor play and discovery at our 225-acre wildlife sanctuary. Daily activities include trail explorations, habitat investigations, hands-on experiments, wildlife observation, creative games and crafts, and more. Each day a new adventure awaits! OUR CAMP STAFF OUR CAMP DIRECTOR This is Camp Director Amy Quist s eleventh year with North River Nature Camp. In addition to overseeing camp, Amy is Mass Audubon s South Shore Sanctuaries Education Coordinator, developing and leading programs for schools, groups, and families throughout the community. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with a focus in Environmental Interpretation, and a master s degree in Science Education, both from the University of Maine. Amy s camp nature nickname is "Twig," the translation of her last name from Swedish. Staff are carefully selected for their maturity and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting. Our counselors are enthusiastic and caring individuals, dedicated to helping campers develop a special relationship with nature. All staff undergo background checks, are first aid and CPR certified, and participate in safety, child development, and natural history training prior to start of camp.
