Marty Chadney It is with great sorrow that the family of Marty Chadney announces his passing on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 50 years of age after a life long battle with Lyme disease. Marty is survived by the love of his life, his living wife Marie Chadney, who will miss him greatly along with, Mel Chadney his Father, Jan Chadney, his Mother Mark(Tammy) Chadney, Cory ( Butch) MacPherson, Bruce Smith, Michelle Smith 6 nieces and nephew and extended family as well as many, many friends. Please remember that in the Village of Canal Flats, all dogs are to be contained in your yard and on leashes when being walked. It is for the safety of others, as well as your dog. Any dogs found at large will be impounded and a fine will be issued. If you see a dog at large, please contact the Village office to make a report. All reports are confidential. We thank all the responsible dog owners for their assistance. 2017 Dog Tags It is required that all dogs be licenced in the Village of Canal Flats. 2017 licences are available for purchase at the Village Office Pursuant to section 176 of the Local Government Act, the Village of Canal Flats has authority to provide financial assistance to community groups. Non-profit groups or organizations wishing to apply for financial assistance can find 2017 Grant-In-Aid Applications on the Village website at www.canalflats.com or pick one up at the Village office. Deadline for submissions is January 31, 2017. The Village of Canal Flats is seeking 3 members of the public to sit on the Board of Variance. The Board of Variance reviews applications and makes decisions on minor variances to zoning and land use bylaws when it is illustrated by the applicant that compliance would cause undue hardship.
