DEPARTURE PROCEDURES GROTON-NEW LONDON AIRPORT (GON) IFR DEPARTURES Aircraft desiring to depart IFR should contact Groton Clearance Delivery on 121.65 when Groton Tower is open or Providence Clearance Delivery on 119.85 when the tower is closed. Aircraft should obtain their IFR clearance prior to engine start. When tower is open, advise Groton Ground on 121.65 when ready to taxi. VFR DEPARTURES VFR Flight Following: Pilots wanting VFR flight-following should make the request to the appropriate ATC facility. See below. For direction of flight Northwest through Southeast, contact Providence Approach on 119.45 when clear of GON airspace. CAMPING Aircraft camping will be permitted at Groton-New London Airport (GON) from 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 5, 2017 until 12:00 Noon on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you plan to camp, you must RSVP ahead of time. A confirmation will be sent with additional information.
