The project idea of AlpInfoNet was developed in cooperation with the members of the Sub-working Group Sustainable Mobility of the Working Group Transport in the Alpine Convention Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland 2

Why AlpInfoNet??? more and more tourists and inhabitants do not own a car anymore last mile offers are often missing use of public transportation by tourists in the Alpine Space is very low lack of information on sustainable mobility Continous transnational door-to-door information system for sustainable mobility needed! 3

The project AlpInfoNet is co-financed by the Alpine Space Programme - European territorial Cooperation 2007-2013 through the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE). has a project duration from July 2012 until June 2015. 76 % (EFRE) of the total project budget of 2.997.867 will be co-financed aims to provide travellers with comprehensive information about sustainable transport modes beyond regional and national borders and to address them through smart channels that provide information when needed. A transnational network with 13 project partners from 5 countries is working together to reach the project goal! 4

Objective AlpInfoNet enables the tourist to plan easily his eco-friendly trip door-to-door from home to the hotel in advance. to get sufficient information about eco-friendly mobility offers on-site. to be convinced that seemless eco-friendly transport chains are provided to and in the destination. 10
