New Sand Hopper Berth & Pump Station
New Sand Hopper Berth & Pump Station Scope: Construction of New Sand Hopper and Pump Station at A Berth to replace the original hopper station that was demolished during Entrance Channel Widening Purpose: To reinstate the natural migration of sand along the coast by supplying sand to the city beaches. Prevent the entrance channel from silting up

Maydon Wharf rehabilitation of berths 1 to 4 and 13 to 14 Scope Replace old steel sheet pile berths 1-4, and 12-14, with new deep water berths. Purpose: Provide infrastructure to sustain existing port operations and cater for growth in cargo volumes. Risks: Berths at risk of failure, if not reconstructed. Berth capacity constraint during construction. Mitigations: Implement Berth Monitoring Surveys. Fast track reconstruction program. Berth 12 is being reconstructed to create additional capacity for when the remainder of the sheet pile berths are reconstructed. 14
