NTS Choosing the correct net We have found that there are 3 particular questions that people ask when ordering our nets. Listed below you will find the answers to those commonly asked questions, which you will then be able to to use to help identify the exact style of net you need. What is the mesh size? Assuming a diamond mesh pattern, the mesh size is measured when two knots in the mesh are pulled tightly in opposing directions so as to collapse the diamond into a flat section causing the other two knots of the diamond pattern to come together and touch. You then measure the distance from the centre of knot to knot of the two knots that were pulled in the opposing directions. This is the mesh size. What is the mesh made of? Usually it is made of nylon, polyester/cotton, monofilament or cotton. The material used is shown next to each net.
