Tour : Classic Self Drive Standard 01-Jul-2017-17-Jul-2017 QUOTE NO: 5481 RES NO: Date Hotel Basis 01-07-2017-02-07-2017 Windhoek / Terra Africa Guesthouse Upon arrival in Windhoek you will be met by a driver and transferred to your accommodation in town. In the afternoon you will be met by your African Profile representative who will answer any questions you have and provide you with detailed travelling information. You have the evening at leisure to visit a local restaurant. Windhoek is often described as a city with a continental atmosphere. This can be attributed to its architecture historical buildings dating back to German colonial rule as well as to its, cuisine, culture, dress codes and educational institutions. At the same time Windhoek has the color, sounds and tempo of a modern African city. Pavement displays of African drums and woodcarvings from the north contrast with elegant shops offering sophisticated Swakara garments and Namibian gemstones set in designed pieces of jewelry. You will have some time at leisure for shopping in the capital. 1 x Overnight in Luxury Rooms www.terra-africa.com Guest House Terra Africa is situated in Namibia's capital Windhoek, and is set on the hills overlooking the city, just opposite of the presidential state house grounds. 02-07-2017-03-07-2017 Kalahari / Anib Lodge This morning you will receive your rental car around 9h00, from here you will then travel via Rehoboth into the Kalahari. In the afternoon you can go on an optional game drive in the area. 1 x Overnight in Standard Rooms www.gondwana-desert-collection.com In the midst of the red dunes of the Kalahari in eastern Namibia, Kalahari Anib Lodge is nestled as a lush green oasis under high palm trees. Anib means 'male bird' in the local Nama language, a people who are predominantly found in the southern regions of Namibia. Birds play an important role in their mythology. Its location makes Kalahari Anib Lodge an ideal stopover on the way south. In the midst of the red dunes of the Kalahari in eastern Namibia the lodge seems like a plush green oasis. Animals including springbok, gemsbok and ostrich can be found around the lodge. Jackal, hare and porcupine inhabit the dunes and dune valleys of the Kalahari Desert as well. The area is also home to the Kori Bustard, the largest flying bird of all, and huge colonies of weaver birds are resident in the lodge's grounds. Activities include sunrise and sunset scenic drives the through Gondwana Kalahari Park. Bird watchers can view vultures and marabou storks at the feeding place for carrion birds. Hiking trails into the Kalahari can also be organized here. The accommodation facilities, built from Kalahari-red brick, are grouped around a spacious courtyard with palm trees and acacias, a succulent garden and a large swimming pool. For tour groups there are 36 well-appointed rooms with a private veranda opening onto the courtyard. For individual guests 19 rooms are available in chalets which are slightly set apart and afford views of the savannah scenery - there is also a separate swimming pool. Meals from our excellent kitchen are served in the comfortable rooms of the restaurant or on our huge terrace. Wrap up the day in style with a long drink at our open fire. The friendliness of the lodge s team has coined a new expression: the Kalahari Smile. 26 October, 2016 Page 3 of 13

03-07-2017-05-07-2017 Fish River Canyon / Canyon Roadhouse After breakfast you travel via Keetmanshoop where you can visit the Quiver tree forest and Giants Playground to Fish River Canyon. You have the next day at leisure to explore the canyon and its surrounds. The Fish River canyon, situated along the lower reaches of the Fish River, is one of the most impressive natural beauties in the southern part of Namibia. It developed predominantly during the pluvial times - a rainy climatic epoch - many millions of years ago. With a depth of up to 550 meters, the Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world, after the Grand Canyon in America. The enormous gorge meanders along a distance of approx. 160 kilometers through the fissured Koubis massif all the way down to Ai-Ais. The canyon starts near Seeheim, is 161 kilometers long and ends at Ai-Ais. The Fish River Canyon probably formed about 500 million years ago. However, the gorge was not only created by water erosion, but also through the collapse of the valley bottom due to movements in the earth's crust. Because the Fish River is being dammed in Hardap near Mariental, it only contains a small amount of running water. In winter, during the dry season, the river bed is often completely dry or reduced to only the occasional puddle. After rainfall in summer the river can become a raging torrent. The canyon is part of a Nature Conservation Park. The gate is situated at the rest camp Hobas. From there, you have to drive another 10 kilometers to the actual Canyon which offers a stunning view of "Hell's Bend". 2 x Overnight in Standard Rooms www.gondwana-collection.com The Canon Roadhouse is situated 25km from the Fish River Canyon, on the privately owned Gondwana Canyon Park, and 20 kms from the main viewpoint of the canyon itself. The lodge is interestingly decorated with old car parts, found in the region. Old antiques adorn the inside, such as an old gas burning stove with a beaten copper kettle on top. There is a large swimming pool and sun-deck, tucked in between indigenous succulents such as hoodias and aloes, and guests can relax pool-side on a comfortable lazy-lounger. Guests can enjoy a drink in the noted 'Wheels' bar, a setting for many a tall travellers' tale. There is also a laundry service and Internet connection. Canyon Roadhouse pride themselves on their delicious food and personalized service, comments many of their guests reiterate. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in The Canon Roadhouse's restaurant. Breakfast is served buffet-style with a choice of cereals, fruits and a full English breakfast. Fruit juices, coffee and tea are also available. Lunch and dinner are both served from an 'a la carte' menu. Fresh salads and sandwiches can be ordered for lunch, and the dinner menu has a splendid choice of international-style cuisine. Accommodation is in 24 rooms, including family-, triple- & double - rooms. They are all en-suite and are equipped with a fan and mosquito nets. A sundowner drive, walks on their unguided sunset trails, and horse-riding can be organized at Canyon Roadhouse, a perfect base to explore the wonders of Namibia's Fish River Canyon. 26 October, 2016 Page 4 of 13

The following morning an early departure to Sesriem is recommended. The entrance gate to Sossusvlei opens at sunrise, form here it is another 65km to the Sossusvlei parking from which you can take a 4x4 shuttle service to Sossusvlei. This is a dune wonderland, with towering dunes up to 300 m high surrounding a huge, dried up pan. 09-07-2017-11-07-2017 Swakopmund / Veronika Bed & Breakfast Continue to our coastal region and Swakopmund via the Kuiseb Canyon and Walvis Bay. You have the afternoon at leisure to explore Swakopmund on foot. You have the next day to enjoy optional activities, like Dolphin Boat Cruise, Living Desert Tour or for the more adventurous Quad biking or Skydiving. Swakopmund, Namibia s seaside resort resembling a Bavarian village nestled between the Desert and the Sea. You approach the town through the endless expanses of the Namib Desert, one of the world s largest wilderness areas. Then, through the mists (it is almost always misty in the morning and late afternoon) Bavarian spires and elaborate Germanic architecture rise through the fog banks. The boom of the surf on the notorious Skeleton Coast is an ever-present reminder of the icy Atlantic Ocean beyond. The town is an eclectic mixture of Bohemian and Bavarian, home to an intriguing mix of artists, hippies, strait-laced descendants of German settlers, stately Herero women in Victorian dress, and hard bitten miners, game rangers, safari operators and fishermen. Swakopmund exudes romance and history, a rich cultural melting pot of old and new. 2 x Overnights in Standard Rooms www.veronika-bed-and-breakfast.com A warm welcome from Nicole and Hans-Jürgen Sauer awaits you at Veronika B&B. You will find our lovely Bed and Breakfast at 5 Dolphinstreet, which is situated in a very trangmil and safe residential area, a stone throw from the sea. 11-07-2017-12-07-2017 Damaraland / Twyfelfontein Lodge Early departure via Uis, to Damaraland 'Twyfelfontein' Enroute you can make a stop at the engravings. Twyfelfontein (meaning doubtful fountain) is a massive, open-air art gallery of great interest to international rock art connoisseurs. Regarded as one of the richest collections of rock engravings in Africa, this treasure house of rock engravings left by stone-age artists is the first site in Namibia to be nominated by the Namibian Monuments Council for recognition by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This will ensure that measures for preservation of the site are taken and maintained. South of Twyfelfontein is the Burnt Mountain, a panorama of desolation with colored rocks contrasting vividly against the greyblack surroundings. The Organ Pipes, a mass of basalt slabs in a ravine gouged out by a river, is another geological curiosity in the area. South west of Twyfelfontein is the Doros Crater, where fossil remains have been found among the rocks. 2 x Overnights in Standard Rooms www.namibialodges.com Situated in the heart of the Damaraland surrounded by one of the most beautiful wilderness regions on earth you will find a piece of paradise. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is situated within a UNESCO world heritage site. The Twyfelfontein area, a very vulnerable and delicate ecosystem, is renowned for some of the best examples of San Rock Paintings and Engravings in Southern Africa. The lodge, situated in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy boast 56 en suite double rooms, 8 twin guide rooms and one executive bungalow, reception, lounge, curio shop, dining room(open), bar and swimmingpool. The development and decorations were done to minimize the visual impact on the environment and blends into the mountainside with the use of thatch roofs, natural stone and paint colours blending with the surrounding rock formations. Day excursions include walks, and/or guided safaris into the surrounding area with the possibility to see Desert adapted Elephant. 26 October, 2016 Page 8 of 13

12-07-2017-14-07-2017 Etosha / Okaukuejo Rest Camp Depart via Khorixas and close by is the Petrified Forest where a cataclysmic event millions of years ago deposited giant tree trunks which subsequently turned to stone. Today the Namib's living fossil plant, Welwitschia mirabilis, grows among these prostrate fossilised trunks. Continue via Outjo to the Etosha National Park and your rest camp is situated a few kilometers north of the Gate. You have the next 2 days at leisure for game drives from the comfort of your own vehicle. Etosha owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression of approximately 5 000 square km. A series of waterholes along the Southern edge of the pan guarantee the rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. In good rain years the pan fills with water draining southwards from Angola via the delta like system of shallow rivers and oshanas, drying out in the winter to become an austere expanse of white cracked mud, shimmering with mirages and upward spiraling dust devils. Of the mammal species found in the park, several are rare and endangered, such as black rhino and black-faced impala. Etosha s elephants are reputed to be the largest in Africa, the tallest ones measuring up to 4m at the shoulder. Their tusks, on the other hand, are relatively small. For the greater part of the year the Etosha Pan is a bleak expanse of white cracked mud which shimmers with mirages on most days. Seeing vast herds of game against this eerie backdrop makes the Etosha game-viewing experience unique. Optional guided day and night game drives are offered by the lodge, book upon arrival. 2 x Overnights in Bush Chalets www.nwr.com.na Okaukuejo is 114kms north of Outjo on the C38. This road leads you right to Etosha Park's Andersson's Gate and from here it is only a few 'game viewing' kilometers to Okaukuejo. It is the oldest tourist camp in Etosha and it currently functions as the administrative hub of the park as well as being home to the Etosha Ecological Institute. It is situated at the Southern end of the Etosha Pan. The main attraction of this camp is that it overlooks a permanent waterhole, which is floodlit at night. Here a wide diversity of wildlife congregates and interacts. The spectacle starts at dawn, with animals coming in large numbers to quench their thirst. The excitement continues throughout the day and deep into the night. In the early evenings, it is not uncommon to have black rhinoceros, elephant and lion, all drinking at the same time. There is a bar, shop, swimming pool and a kiosk The restaurant provides a choice of a buffet or 'a la carte' menus. Premier Waterhole Chalet: double story chalet with a balcony overlooking the waterhole. Two bedrooms, downstairs with 2 single beds and upstairs with a queen size double. Lounge area, fridge and tea-station Family Chalet: self catering unit with two bedrooms, kitchenette and braai (barbeque) area Waterhole Chalet: situated close to the waterhole these are comfortable double rooms with en-suite bathroom, fridge & teastation Bush Chalet: 2 bed chalet with one bedroom, bathroom, lounge area & braai. Equipped with fridge & tea station Double Room: room with en-suite bathroom, fridge & tea station Okaukuejo is the main area of tourist activity inside Etosha, but visitors can also choose to stay at either Halali, Namutoni or Onkoshi Camp. All four of these camps are operated by Namibia Wildlife Resorts and have the advantage of being inside the Etosha National Park. Alternatively, you might like to enquire about several other private lodges around Etosha. Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's finest and most important Game Reserves. Etosha Game park was declared a National Park in 1907 and covering an area of 22 270 square km, it is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and, surprisingly, one species of fish. The Etosha Park is one of the first places on any itinerary 26 October, 2016 Page 9 of 13

designed for a holiday in Namibia. Etosha, meaning "Great White Place", is dominated by a massive mineral pan. The pan is part of the Kalahari Basin, the floor of which was formed around 1000 million years ago. The Etosha Pan covers around 25% of the National Park. The pan was originally a lake fed by the Kunene River. However the course of the river changed thousands of years ago and the lake dried up. The pan now is a large dusty depression of salt and dusty clay which fills only if the rains are heavy and even then only holds water for a short time. This temporary water in the Etosha Pan attracts thousands of wading birds including impressive flocks of flamingos. The perennial springs along the edges of the Etosha Pan draw large concentrations of wildlife and birds. 14-07-2017-15-07-2017 Etosha East / Onguma Bush Camp Continue via the park, visit the museum at Namutoni and then continue to your lodge situated about 5km outside the park. In the evening sit around the fire, under the Namibian sky, and enjoy your last days before you start on your return journey. 1 x Overnight in Standard Rooms www.onguma.com Onguma Game Reserve is situated on the eastern side of the Etosha Park in Namibia, bordering Fischer s Pan. Onguma Bush Camp is one of four lodges set inside this Reserve and is signposted from the Namutoni Gate opposite Mokuti Lodge. Onguma Game Reserve covers more than 20,000 hectares of protected land and wildlife. Their nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species. Predators such as lion, cheetah and leopard are common residents of the area. The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Nature Reserve is a family of black rhinos! Accommodation consists of 6 en-suite, air-conditioned luxury bungalows, 2 family rooms sleeping 4 people each, and 1 honeymoon suite. It is the only camp in the reserve that is child friendly, making it the perfect location for families to explore Etosha National Park. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, and a fan. Mosquito nets are fitted on the windows. There is a bar, restaurant and lounge. For breakfast there is a choice between the buffet or a typical English Breakfast. Lunch consists of sandwiches, pasta and salads. Dinner is a set flexible 3 course meal of either traditional African fare or European cuisine served in an open lapa area. Enjoy your meal by an open fire, and under the beautiful Namibian sky.
