MACHU PICCHU ONE DAY TRIP Not having much time is no impediment to not visit Machupicchu, this is the option of one day tour to visit the Inka Citadel of Machupicchu; Choose the best time of start and end of the trip, the type of train that suits you and how long time you want to be in Machupicchu, this will be the best experience in an one day of visit to the magical citadel, the tour according to your measurement is about to begin. For this very especial day trip for you, we have departures every day, where you can choose the departure time from Cusco and also what time you would like to be back in Cusco, this will depend what time you want to be in Machupicchu and how long time you would like to stay there, here you have a schedules simulation:

Example 1: I decide to leave 4:15 a.m. so I arrive in Machupicchu at 9:00 a.m. then I can stay till noon up there (4 Hours in Machupicchu) and I ll take the train to come back at 2:55 p.m. so I ll be back in Cusco at 6:30 p.m. Example 2: I would like to stay the longest time possible in Machupicchu, so I decide to leave at 2:45 a.m. and I ll arrive in Machupicchu at 7:30 a.m. I can stay until 4:00 p.m. up there (8 hours in Machupicchu) I could climb the Waynapicchu Mountain!!! and I ll take the train to come back at 7:00 p.m. so I ll be back in Cusco at 10:30 p.m. Example 3: I don t like to get up early and return late, I decide to leave at 6:45 a.m. I ll arrive in Machupicchu at 11:30 a.m. and stay up there till 3:00 p.m. (3 and 1/2 Hours in Machupicchu) I ll take the train to come back at 4:12 p.m. so I ll be back in Cusco at 7:30 p.m. We have daily departure from the two Train stations close to Cusco, the first POROY TRAIN STATION (located to 30 minutes from Cusco) and the other OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION (Located in the Sacred Valley, One and an half hours from Cusco). ALL OUR TOURS START AND FINISH IN CUSCO.

CHOOSE THE TOUR FROM THE TRAIN STATION YOU WANT TO DEPART POROY STATION DETAILED ITINERARY We pick you up at your accomodation according the agreed time, then we ll take you by car to the Poroy Train station (located 30 minutes from Cusco), from this place we ll take three hours train ride, we ll pass by small typical villages, nice valleys, snow covered mountains and many local people performing their daily life, to arrive in Aguas Calientes (town of Machupicchu), arriving there, you ll go up by bus to the archaeological site of Machupicchu, where you ll have two hours guiding tour, the guiding will be around the main places of the citadel, then, you ll have free time to explore Machupicchu and take pictures by yourself, after the free time we ll return to Aguas Calientes where you ll have a free time to have lunch; depending of your train schedule you have to be at the train station ready to take your train that after three hours will arrive again in Poroy train station and from here we ll bring you back to your accomodation in Cusco again. IMPORTANT This is the closer train station but there are just three departures every day, these trains are those that arrive late in Machupicchu; For maintenance of the railway between January 02 and April 30 of each year, trains with departures and arrivals from this Station, depart from and to the Station of Ollantaytambo. OLLANTAYTAMBO STATION DETAILED ITINERARY We ll pick you up at the hotel in Cusco according the agreed time, then we ll take you by bus passing by beautiful landscapes and valleys, you ll be able to see smalls villages with local people in the route, then you ll arrive in Ollantaytambo s Train station (located 1 ½ hours from Cusco), from this place we ll go by train one and a half hours to arrive in Aguas Calientes (town of Machupicchu), once you arrive, the guide will pick you up from the train station to take you by bus to the archaeological site of Machupicchu (25 minutes), where you ll have two hours guided tour, the guiding will be around the main places of the citadel, then, you ll have free time to explore Machupicchu and take pictures by your own, after the free time you ll return to Aguas Calientes where you ll have a free time to have lunch; then you ll take the train to go back to Ollantaytambo again, so there we ll pick you up to bring you back by bus to Cusco and your hotel (Arrival time is according the train you choose) PERU RAIL TRAINS INCA RAIL TRAINS The different between these two companies is not much, both of them go by the same way and the trip last the same 1 and 1/2 hours; Peru rail is the company who has more departures and Inca Rail a company committed with the tourist service; If you want more information about the trains please consult
