I wish to express our appreciation for your registration for the 4 th Parkinson s Disease and Movement Disorders Congress (AOPMC) which will be convened in Pattaya, Thailand. An outstanding scientific program has been designed, including symposia, plenary and parallel sessions on key topics presented by regional and international experts. In addition, more than 240 poster presentations will be available for your review throughout the Congress. MDS has sent guidelines and schedules to those whose posters have been selected for presentation. Please find up-to-date information about the scientific program, the schedule of events and other information about the Congress at www.movementdisorders.org/aopmc2014. Advance registration has now closed and we are pleased that more than 700 of our colleagues will be joining us in Pattaya. However, we would welcome even more participants and encourage you to let your colleagues know that registration is also possible onsite. Several important details about your participation in the Congress are noted below: 1. 2. Schedule A. The Opening Symposium begins at 12:45 on Friday, 28 November B. The Opening Ceremony is at 18:00 on Friday, 28 November C. The Welcome Reception is at 19:00 on Friday, 28 November D. Transportation Traveling to the Congress Most participants in the Congress from other countries will be flying into the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The AOPMC will have a clearly marked booth located by luggage claim No. 18 where staff will be available to assist with travel arrangements to Pattaya. Please note the Attachment Travel Options for travel from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya: A. Air Conditioned Bus AOPMC staff will assist registrants to purchase tickets from Bell Travel for an air conditioned bus for the 2 hour trip to the Pattaya North Bus Terminal for 250 Thai Baht/US$ 8.00. Vans will be available for transport from the Terminal in Pattaya to the hotels as part of the service. B. Limousine AOPMC staff also can assist in making arrangements for a limousine that will bring you directly to your hotel in Pattaya. Taxi AOPMC staff also can assist in engaging a Taxi for the trip from Suvarnabhumi Airport to your hotel in Pattaya. Contact Taxi counter, Level 1 - Ground Level, near entrances 3, 4, 7 and 8. The cost will be about 1,500-1,700 Thai Baht/US$ 46.00-52.00. The cost is negotiable and it is important to have a firm agreement with the driver. During the Congress Please consult with your hotel staff for travel to and from the PEACH Convention Hall. The Royal Cliff Hotel is located next to the PEACH Convention Hall. Travel after the Congress For those returning home by airlines, the same options are available as described above. A. Air Conditioned Bus Bell Travel will provide transportation to the Suvarnabhumi Airport from your hotel for 250 Thai Baht/US$ 8.00. Staff will be available at the Pattaya North Bus Terminal to assist you.
