Visit the gift shop and see a film summarizing the General s life and achievements. Next stop is the Spirit of Norfolk, the premiere cruise boat on Norfolk s waterfront. The harbor lunch cruise with entertainment features the sights of Hampton Roads harbor and the mighty ships at the Norfolk Naval Station. Enjoy a wonderful buffet with multiple entrees, sides, and dessert while the captain narrates. This tour requires a minimum of 35 people. FORT EUSTIS / U.S. ARMY TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM TOUR Friday, September 28, 2018 Begin the day with a narrated bus tour of Ft. Eustis, home to the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command and U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School. Following the tour, enjoy lunch at the Ft. Eustis Club. After lunch, visit the only museum in the world dedicated to preserving the history of U.S. Army Transportation. Start with a guided tour of the museum which will walk you through the story of the Army s Transportation Corps, from the horse-drawn wagons of the Revolutionary War to the armored vehicles being used today. The museum hosts over 7,000 objects plus another 1,000 exhibit props and includes nearly 100 macro artifacts ranging from planes, helicopters, tugboats, and landing crafts including a newly refurbished Caribou. After the guided tour, take time to explore exhibits of interest such as the Aviation Pavilion. This tour requires a minimum of 40 people.
