NHHAC NEWS The Newsletter of the North Hills Historic Auto Club 42 years http://nhhaclub.com/ Volume 43, Issue 8 AUGUST, 2013 The North Hills Historic Auto Club was founded in August of 1971. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month in the school cafeteria of St. Alphonsus church located on Church Road (Rt. 19 & Rt. 910) in Wexford, unless otherwise noted in the monthly newsletter. Hello Everyone, PRESIDENT S MESSAGE INSIDE THIS ISSUE Upcoming Events 4 Bayernhof Museum and Lunch Tour NHHAC at the PVGP 6 Picnic Notice 7 Classifieds & Notices 8-9 Name That Vehicle 10 5 I've been thinking, when we travel around, touring in our old cars, we're actually doing the rest of the world a favor. All those people who give us a "thumbs-up" or a wave, would have had to go to a museum and spend some money to see old cars. But instead we bring them to the public, and they can see them for free. It's fun for them and fun for us. So, get out, drive your cars and have some fun. See you soon. Jan The annual NHHAC picnic is September 8. Reservations must be made by August 1. See the notice on page 7.

NHHAC NEWS August 2013 Page 2 NORTH HILLS HISTORIC AUTO CLUB MINUTES July 14 2013 After the Pledge of Allegiance, President Jan Smith asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of the June 2013 meeting. There were none. Ann Quinn made a motion to accept the minutes, and Jennie Barker seconded. Jack Swaney read the Treasurer s Report. The club has a balance of $7,918.02 in the treasury. Mike Quinn made a motion to accept the Treasurer s Report, Jennie Barker seconded. Ted Cook recently had carpel tunnel surgery, and is doing well. Victor Panza was accepted as a new member. Welcome Victor. Old Business Ken Barker brought an example of a plaque that could possibly replace the trophies for the Car Show. There was discussion, but no decisions were made. Mike Quinn reported that everyone had a great time on the trip to the Bayernhof Museum. Mike also read a note from Grace Manor thanking us for the show we did for them. He also mentioned there was ice cream for us. New Business Roger and Betty Boff will host the club picnic on September 8, 2013. Roger asked for some help the day before the picnic to set up. Mary Jo Phillips will have bingo for us at the picnic. Everyone is asked to bring a small used item in a brown paper lunch bag for bingo prizes. Since Jackie Sheerer was not at the meeting, discussion for donations was tabled. There being no further business to discuss, Mike Quinn motioned to adjourn the meeting. Respectfully submitted, Bonnie Smith, Secretary A Gem from Joan If my body was a car, I d trade it in for a newer model. Every time I cough or sneeze, my radiator leaks and my exhaust backfires.
