in Peru Our program will take you from Lima, the former colonial capital of Spanish South America, deep into the Amazon Rainforest of the Tambopata National Reserve and high into the Andes, to the magical city of Cusco, often referred to as The Navel of the World, and the once capital of the Inca Empire, now a wonderful living museum of Inca and Spanish history. If you think you haven t had enough of Peru s majestic scenery, take our program extension to the West inn Paracas, a beautiful Resort strategically located in the Paracas bay, in front of the Nature Reserve of Paracas. This comfortable Resort & Spa is the ideal starting point for excursions to the Ballestas islands and the Paracas National Reserve. Visit the Ballestas islands with the hotel s private yacht. The islands are home to over 150 species of marine birds, and you can see large numbers of sea-lions on the shores and dolphins in the sea. Cusco Inca Wedding Cusco This millenary ritual is performed by an Andean priest, who with his gifts passed on by generations of Incas, invokes the elements of nature - the Apus, the spirits of the mountains; Pachamama, mother earth; Mama Koka, mother coca; the chaskas, the stars; the Aukis and Achachilas, light and Willka Nina, the sacred fire - to make a couple s relationship last forever. 12 13
Arac Masin (Inca Wedding) It is a spiritual affirmation that harmonizes the union of the couples (partners) with the deities of the Andean belief.
