About us Zoe, Mark and children would like to welcome you to bed and breakfast in their home. Close to the sea looking out across Lyme Bay and the valley we are a small friendly family run business. We look forward to meeting you. Mark works from home on his driftwood furniture so for wood lovers it s a must to have a snoop around and be inspired to roam the beaches for fossils and driftwood. We have a young dog, he is kept out of the way of non-dog lovers as we as we fully understand this is your holiday. We just want you to enjoy the area as much as we do. The Location Lyme Regis has something for everyone, sandy beaches, cafes and restaurants famous for the Jurassic coast, every year it gives up more of it s fossils, a boon for collectors with a wide range of interest and wonderful walks. We are located along a private drive and just a very short walk to Lyme Regis golf club or just a brisk walk to the shops.
Rhododendron House Location Rhododendron House is an attractively restored Edwardian house situated in a pretty wooded area of Lyme Regis (see map) The sea front is 15 minutes walk, the golf course a 2 minute drive and the well known attraction of Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall s River Cottage a 15-20 minute drive. Please refer to Lyme Regis Tourist Board (click on name to left for their web site) for a more comprehensive list of all the popular attractions (01297 442138) Accommodation Decorated in Laura Ashley, one large double with en suite bath and shower room (Lori), further adjoining double room if required, ideal for family or friends (Kimono). Double room with private bathroom (Hawthorne). Kimono is available with a shared bathroom and single occupancy welcome.
Further large double en-suite, the (Summer room) also suitable for families and available in high season. Parking available at the front of the house. Garden to the front of the house with seated area for use by residents. Facility All rooms have TV, coffee and tea making facility facilities, mini fridge, towels, bathrobes and hair drier (microwave available on request). Seated area with views to sit and relax in Hawthorne and Lori rooms. Wi-Fi usually available (depends on reception!) We are a non smoking within the house. Tasty cooked breakfast served between 7.30 and 9.00 am with use of organic free range products where possible. House keeping between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm, arrivals between 4pm and 7pm unless otherwise arranged, we are flexible. Vacate rooms 10.00 am. Take second exit on roundabout sign posted to Lyme Regis the A3052. If you reach the traffic lights in Lyme Regis you have gone too far.as you see the Lyme Regis fossil sign on your left and the sea ahead turn right into Colway Lane, when you meet the T junction, fork right,
Colway Rise is a small private turning on the right hand side about 200 metres down. From Axminster From Axminster take B3261 out of Axminster heading towards Bridport, at A35 turn left towards the same and then follow instructions for A35 East. From A35 West, Exeter / Honition / Axminster Continue on A35, just as you climb past Axminster you will see Raymonds Hill. Take the second turning right, it has a large white coloured public house, the Hunters Lodge right on the corner. Turn into B3165 towards Lyme, pub will be on your left as you turn down by the side of it. Stay on B3165 past hedgehog corner, Burrowshot, then into Yawl and Uplyme. In Uplyme fork left into Haye Lane just past second width restriction point. At the bottom of Haye lane turn left into Colway Lane, drive past all the turnings, you will start to
climb out of Lyme, Colway Rise will be found about 300 metres on the left hand sidebeofre the end of the road, it is a small private road leading up to the entrance of number 3, Colway Rise.
From Crewkerne Take the B3165 out of Crewkerne heading towards Axminster. Stay on the B3165 until you reach the A35 at Raymonds Hill. Turn right and then immediately left by the side of the Hunters Lodge pub and then follow instructions for A35 East.
