Important Information This program guide is a work in progress. This version is meant to provide information needed to start youth on the process of choosing the Merit Badges they want to take at Camp Maluhia this summer. As the doucment is updated, it will be made available via e-mail and the Maui Count Council Web Page (www.mauibsa.org). Merit Badge prerequesites and costs are being worked on and will be available before sign ups start. An on-line sign up process is being investigated for this year. A decision will be made by April 22, 2016 for the sign up process. Sign ups will start being accepted on May 2 nd regardless of on-line or manual forms. If there is a merit badge or specific program that your Scouts would like to take at summer camp that is not listed in the program guide, please let the program director know. His contact information is listed on the title page of this document. New s There will be some new programs coming to shooting sports this year. The details of these programs are currently being worked out. As soon as they are available, we will update this document with that information. Staff will work on these Friday during day and Friday night if needed. Want to keep troop leader's out until we are done. If we get them done in a timely manner Friday night, we will invite troops up to dining hall to collect them Friday night. Area Directors and Director will be available for questions up until Troops depart. Troop Guides and Camp Masters will report to campsites to help troops prepare for departure. More info on this to come later. 10:00 AM All Target time for all troops to be out of camp. Shooting sports 1) Shotgun limited to 8 per class, 13 years old minimum (no first year campers) 2) Rifle limited to 12 per class, 12 years old minimum (no first year campers) Wrangler 1) Camp staff will provide instruction and materials. Troops will be required have someone accompany Wrangler program participants to assist with instruction and sign off on requirements.
