After breakfast this morning we are driven by private bus to Alexandria (approximately 230 KM) we visit the Biblioteque of Alexandria where our guide takes us through the library to view aircrafts found during the excavation of the site as well as the rare books library to see the ancient books donated from countries around the world. Our next stop will be the Roman Amphitheatre of Alexandria, which is considered to be one of the most important Roman architectural achievements in Egypt, was discovered by mere coincidence in the year 1960. The amphitheatre was used in several purposes during its long history and passing by different periods of time. It was used as an odium where musical shows were performed during the Roman period. The theatre, at the time, had all the elements to host perfect performance like the dome that once stood over the stage and the section of the orchestra. On the other hand, in the Byzantine era, it was used as a conference hall where important meetings, like public assemblies and governmental summits used to take place.
