Idyllic Tahiti and Society Islands CRUISE ABOARD THE MS PAUL GAUGIN JANUARY 16-27, 2018 FEATURING: PAPEETE HUAHINE BORA BORA RANGIROA FAKARAVA TAHA'A MOOREA

Idyllic Tahiti and Society Islands Immerse yourself in spectacular beauty above and below the waves! Cruise the Society Islands & Tuamotus on a 10-night sailing aboard the award winning m/s Paul Gauguin, one of the top 'small ship cruise lines'. Visit the Society Islands - legendary Tahiti, Bora Bora, Taha'a, Moorea, as well as Huahine with its stunning crystalline lagoon. Rangiroa is home to the second largest lagoon in the world and is renowned for fantastic diving. The Tuamotu Archipelago comprises very low-lying atolls where the chain's many islets rise no more than ten feet above sea level. Enjoy luxurious sailing with deluxe amenities, gracious staff, a welcoming ambiance and gourmet cuisine. TUESDAY, JANUARY 16 Day 1 Los Angeles to Papeete Today we begin our exciting journey to French Polynesia as we board the flight in Los Angeles on Air Tahiti Nui and wing our way to Papeete Tahiti in the Society Islands! WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17 D Day 2 Papeete Tahiti - Embark ship Strewn lazily across the Pacific Ocean and known as French Polynesia are a gorgeous collection of volcanic islands and atolls. The island of Tahiti proper is the largest of the 118 islands and atolls. Papeete, the modern capital of Tahiti and her islands, contains government offices, hospitals, banks, and many other services dedicated to serving the islands, and those of us who come for a life-enriching experience. This afternoon, we board the ship, m/s Paul Gauguin and have time to settle into the stateroom before dinner onboard. We will set sail tonight. THURSDAY, JANUARY 18 BLD Day 3 Huahine The first port of call is Huahine, known as The Garden Island for its lush rainforests and dramatic terrain. While here, we can cruise the expansive lagoon, explore the island's culture, or picnic on the beach. FRIDAY, JANUARY 19 BLD Day 4 Bora Bora Pulitzer Prize-winning author James Michener called Bora Bora the most beautiful island in the world. Dominated by towering Mount Otemanu and surrounded by a lagoon protected by low-lying coral reefs, this is indeed a spectacular destination. We have two full days to discover this quintessential Pacific paradise. Perhaps explore its exquisite lagoon on a snorkeling tour or underwater walk, or enjoy an optional bird s-eye view on a helicopter tour, or thrill to a sunset tour by jetboat. SATURDAY, JANUARY 20 BLD Day 5 Bora Bora Enjoy another full day to revel in the delights of Bora Bora. Embark on an off-road safari that offers breathtaking island views. Glide over crystalline waters on a glass-bottom boat to see the island s famous marine life without getting wet. On the private beach of a nearby motu spend a few hours swimming, basking on the beach or snorkeling in the exquisite waters. SUNDAY, JANUARY 21 BLD Day 6 Rangiroa Tuamotus Rangiroa is the largest atoll of the Tuamotu Archipelago, which comprises 78 coral atolls scattered over several hundred miles of the eastern Pacific Ocean. Life on these remote atolls is simple, quiet, and peaceful. In the small villages, discover the true flavour of the Tuamotu. The interior lagoons are a haven for black pearl farms, fish breeding farms, snorkeling, and diving. MONDAY, JANUARY 22 BLD Day 7 Fakarava Tuamotus Known in the days before modern navigation as the Dangerous Archipelago because of its shallow passages, Fakarava's diverse ecosystem has earned the

designation of a UNESCO- Classified Nature Reserve. Experienced divers can descend into a world of cauliflower coral, gray sharks, and thousands of fish schools. If you prefer to stay on land, explore the island's charming villages, ancient temples, and 19thcentury coral church. TUESDAY, JANUARY 23 BLD Day 8 At Sea A relaxing day at sea to do as we wish. Relish the casual, leisurely, and graceful ambiance of our floating oasis. Perhaps take in a lecture by one of the onboard special guest lecturers. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24 BLD Day 9 Taha'a (Motu Mahana) Motu Mahana is an islet adjacent to Taha'a and Paul Gaugin's very own South Seas paradise, featuring white-sand beaches with swaying palms, crystalclear waters, and gentle breezes. As an exclusive event we spend a full day on this idyllic island doing exactly as we please - relax in the shade of a palm tree, engage in a game of volleyball, snorkel in the motu's turquoise lagoon and enjoy a delicious al fresco barbecue lunch with Polynesian entertainment. THURSDAY, JANUARY 25 BLD Day 10 Moorea Society Islands Covered in an abundance of fresh fruits and flowers, spectacular mountain peaks, peaceful multi-hued lagoons, and palm-fringed beaches, Moorea features a magnificent beauty that is unsurpassed. Whitesand beaches lapped by the translucent shimmering lagoon water, shaded by palm, coconut, and ironwood groves that stretch for miles. During the visit we might choose to shop for local handicrafts, or embark on an optional dolphinwatching expedition with a marine biologist. TOUR ACTIVITY LEVEL Leisurely FRIDAY, JANUARY 26 BLD Day 11 Moorea - Papeete Tahiti Perhaps today simply relax and revel in the island's natural splendour. Late this afternoon, the ship casts off for Tahiti's capital, for a final overnight. SATURDAY, JANUARY 27 B Day 12 Disembark Papeete - Los Angeles After disembarking from the ship we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Los Angeles.
