Clear Immigration and customs and board your private coach to your hotel: Hotel Nacional or similar Wednesday, 05 June 2019 Havana City Tour with Lunch Parisien Cabaret Show Breakfast - 9:00am Tour of Havana City. Despite what many people believe, Havana is much more than simply Old Havana. Our panoramic tour includes the most important places no one should miss in a visit to the city. Along the sea wall drive, the "Malecon", as Cubans know it, stretches from El Castillo de la Punta to the 1830 Restaurant and was built in different sections from 1902 on. Important places are located facing the sea: the Palacio de las Cariatides, today the Centro Cultural Iberocubano, Hotel Deauville, Antonio Maceo Park, and Hotel Nacional among others. The "Malecon" has been a meeting place for Cubans ever since its inauguration to gather, talk and fall in love to the sound of the Caribbean Sea. We travel on to 5th Avenue and its famous promenade. Continue to La Marina Hemingway, a tourist complex in the west of Havana dedicated to Hemingway's passion for fishing. We pass the Colon cemetery, one of the most artistically and historically important in America and then to the Revolution square where there is a short stop for picture taking. In The tour continues a long Carlos III Avenue towards Old Havana with another picture taking stop in the Capitol building, once the Seat of the National Congress and now of the Science Academy. Our next stop Terrazas de Cojimar - Hemingway knew of this place from his friend and skipper Gregorio Fuentes, and it was here where he met Anselmo Hernandez, the fisherman he escribed in The Old Man and the Sea. Lunch included at La Bodeguita del Medio or similar. Breakfast and Dinner included at hotel. Depart in the evening for the Parisien Cabaret Show The Parisien cabaret is a smaller more intimate experience of the Cuban cabaret, and but by no means lower quality dancing than the world renowned Tropicana. Many of the dances are inspired by the Spanish roots of flamenco. Thursday, 06 June 2019 Viñales Valley with lunch Breakfast - Depart at 8:00am for the Viñales Valley. The Viñales valley is encircled by mountains and its landscape is interspersed with dramatic rocky outcrops or limestone pincushion hills called mogotes. Traditional techniques are still in use for agricultural production, particularly of tobacco. The quality of this cultural landscape is enhanced by the vernacular architecture of its farms and villages, where a rich multi-ethnic society survives. Tour highlights include visits to a cigar factory in Pinar del Rio; a prehistory Mural and a boat ride through the Indian Cave. Return to Havana late afternoon.
Dubai Friday, 07 June 2019 Trinidad via Cienfuegos Breakfast - Today, we say goodbye to Havana and head to the Caribbean Coast and the beautiful colonial city of Trinidad via Cienfuegos. After a panoramic visit to the City of Cienfuegos, we have Lunch and continue on our way to Trinidad. Trinidad is home to numerous churches and many beautiful colonial buildings. We are near the lovely Valle de los Ingenios (Valley of Sugar mills) and Playa Ancón, where you can enjoy long stretches of unspoiled, white sand beaches. Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming in waterfalls and horse-riding are other optional activities. The nightlife in Trinidad is probably the most accessible and intense in all of Cuba, with numerous live music venues and many dance performances everyday of the week, all amongst the enchanting setting of old colonial buildings and the cobblestone streets. Overnight accommodation at either IB Star Trinidad or Brisas Trinidad el Mar hotel. Dinner will be provided at the hotel. Saturday, 08 June 2019 Trinidad to Cayo Coco Breakfast - After breakfast this morning we treated to a tour of the City of Trinidad, returning to our hotel for Lunch. Depart Trinidad for Cayo Coco. Natural features include lagoons and marshes that are home to birds like the white ibis as well as a native colony of pink flamingos that's ranked among the largest in the Americas. Arrive at your hotel in Cayo Coco for a 2 night stay. Sunday, 09 June 2019 Baraguà (West Indian) Village Breakfast - Today we visit the West Indian Village of Baraquà, which offers a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with family and friends. Baragua looks like a typical town in rural Cuba. Its streets are lined with once brightly coloured low-rise houses and crowded not with cars but with bicycles, horses and carts. But, listen closely to the locals and you notice the difference. Here, in the heart of Cuba, you hear English as well as Spanish spoken. It is almost a century since hundreds of British West Indians headed for the island looking for work in the sugar industry. In those days many firms, like the Baragua Sugar Company, were run by Americans. They came expecting to earn a salary then go back to their country," says 86-year-old Ethelbert Scantlebury, whose parents travelled to Baragua from Barbados in 1920. Ethelbert Scantleberry belongs to a dwindling church congregation Maypole dancing is given a Caribbean rhythm in Baragua Dinner included at hotel.
