Sixteen recommendations submitted Standardized Curriculum for Part 135 Training Scenario-Enhanced Recurrent Training for Part 135 Helicopter Air Ambulance Training 7
Education, Training, & Experience Alternatives for an ATP Workgroup Scope: Explore the creation of additional paths to fulfill the requirements for the aeronautical education, training and experience required for a US Airline Transport Pilot certificate with restricted privileges (R- ATP). Proposed pathways must result in a level of competence, proficiency, and safety equal to or better than the existing regulations. Two recommendations submitted 8
Crew Resource Management Workgroup Scope: Develop recommendations for guidance material about cross-functional crew resource management (CRM)/dispatch resource management (DRM) training for initial and recurrent training for pilots, flight attendants and aircraft dispatchers. Two recommendations submitted FAA Implementation: CRM Advisory Circular expected in 2018. 9
Flight Path Management Workgroup Scope: Recommend guidance for development, continual assessment, and improvement of a flight path management policy and procedures. Pilot Monitoring Management of Automated Systems Mode Awareness Information Automation Ten recommendations submitted 10

Looking Forward to Year 5 Part 121 Data Analysis Action Team Explore the availability, aggregation, and utilization of data to analyze the connection between pilot training, experience, qualification and performance in part 121 operations. Effectiveness of Training Delivery Media New workgroup to examine recommendations and guidance for development, continual assessment, and improvement of Distant Education (DE) Methods. 14
Conclusion The ACT ARC continues to serve as a valuable interface between FAA and industry to address emerging risks and increase safety. There is a high-level of voluntary contribution by industry. The FAA is working to implement ACT ARC recommendations for Flight Path Management, Contract Training, and Crew resource management (CRM) guidance enhancements. 15
