Washington Dulles Airport Passenger Activity commercial passenger activity increased 6.9% compared to February 217. Significant activity by carrier is as follows: Airline Comments United 4.7% increase primarily due to increased service and capacity Increased capacity to net of 11 destinations including: Newark, Boston, San Antonio, Nashville, New Orleans, Harrisburg and New York La Guardia New service to Portland and Providence beginning March 217 and Clarksburg in November 217 Frontier 252.4% increase primarily as a result of new service New service to Austin in April 217, Las Vegas in July 217 and San Antonio in October 217 Increased capacity to Orlando beginning October 217 Southwest 23.7% increase as a result of increased capacity to Denver and new service to Fort Lauderdale in June 217 Delta 4.8% increase primarily due to new service to Salt Lake City since April 217 American 4.1% increase mainly due to improved load factors Reduced service to Dallas Fort Worth beginning in March 217 Passenger Activity commercial passenger traffic increased 6.% compared to February 217. Significant activity by carrier is as follows: Airline Comments United 5.1% increase in passenger activity primarily due to higher load factors Turkish 46.5% increase due to increased service to Istanbul Ethiopian 32.3% increase due to increased capacity to Addis Ababa Avianca 19.% increase as a result of increased capacity to Bogota and San Salvador Air Canada 56.7% increase due to new service to Montreal in June 217 British 11.6% decrease because of reduced capacity to London Etihad 16.5% decrease due to lower load factors Air India New service began in July 217 United Airlines, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share of 63.5% compared to 64.6% a year ago Cargo Activity (all numbers in metric tonnes) o Total cargo increased 1.5% or 341 from a year earlier to 23.k o cargo increased 2.5% (196) primarily due to an increase by United (31.9%, or 41). FedEx declined 3.% (161). o cargo increased 1. % (145) primarily due to increases by United (6.6%, or 345), Air China (82.9%, or 181) and Austrian (51.3%, or 132) Baltimore-Washington Airport Commercial passenger activity increased 7.7% led by Southwest (4.2% or 48k) and Spirit (4.3% or 47k) activity increased 8.3% (129k passengers) activity declined 3.5% (3k passengers) primarily due to WOW which decreased 3.3% Cargo activity rose 65.5% (6k metric tonnes) primarily due to new freight by LGSTX 3
