WELCOME MESSAGE It is our great pleasure to welcome all the players, coaches and officials to the 19th FINA World Junior Men s Water Polo Championships to take place from August 5-13, 2017 in Belgrade (SRB). With the participation of our best junior teams, this competition represents a landmark in the promotion of this discipline. Water polo, the oldest Olympic team sport, is conquering more audience, more media and television interest, and is generating substantial work and attention from the FINA Member National Federations, clubs, players and referees. Team spirit and individual search for improvement are two of basic characteristics of Water Polo. These values will be promoted during this competition and the participating players will be an example of fair-play for the youth and all the fans of this sport worldwide. On this occasion, we express our gratitude to the Water Polo Federation of Serbia, the Organising Committee and the local authorities for their warm hospitality in Belgrade and enthusiastic spirit. I am sure that our best junior water polo teams will keep an excellent memory of this competition. Our gratitude also goes to all those involved in the promotion of this event, namely the spectators, the media representatives and the sponsors. BELGRADE Belgrade is situated at the place where the Sava joins the Danube. Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe and, beside Athens, the greatest urban whole of the Balkan Peninsula. The oldest archaeological artefacts from Belgrade area date back to the fifth millenium B.C. The members of a Celtic tribe founded Singidunum in the III century B.C., while the first record of the name Belgrade dates back to 878 A.D. During its long and tumultuous history, Belgrade has been conquered by 40 armies, and 38 times it has been raised up from the ashes. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, having around 1,6 million residents. In the field of traffic and transport, it is a city of the highest importance as a road and railway center, as a port for river and air traffic, and as a telecommunication center. It spreads over 3.6% of the territory of Serbia, and 15.8% of Serbian population lives in this city. Also, 31.2% of all employed workers in Serbia work in Belgrade. Belgrade is the capital of Serbian culture, education and science. It has the greatest concentration of institutions of national importance in the field of science and art. There is the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, established in 1886 as the Serbian Royal Academy; the National Library of Serbia, established in 1832; the National Museum, established in 1841 and the National Theatre, established in 1869. The city is also the seat of the Belgrade University, founded in 1808 as the Great School, and the seat of the University of Art. Belgrade has the status of a separate teritorial unit in Serbia, having its own autonomous city government. Its territory is divided into 17 municipalities, having their own local governmental bodies.

IMPORTANT NOTES VISA INFORMATION If you require a visa for your participants to enter SERBIA, please notify the Organizing Committee will create an invitation letter to be presented to your Embassy/Consulate to assist in the visa process. Please send a list of all travellers with Full Name, Passport Number, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, and Role within the delegation. For detailed information, please refer to the FINA official website. ACCREDITATION For all individuals participating in, working at, or involved in the FINA World Men s Junior Water Polo Championships will be issued accreditation cards and must wear them or carry them during the entire event (5th - 13th August). Entrances to each accreditation zone will be clearly identified by the zone name, color, number and pictures of accreditations cards that can pass. Only those who have that zone number and color listed on their pass will be granted access. Participating Federations should fill out the Entry Form (please find the Entry Form with other Forms at the very end of the Information Bulletin). Completed Entry Form with attached photo (in format.jpg,.png) of players, officials and referee should be sent no later than July 23rd, 2017 to email accreditation@srbwp.rs. ANTI DOPING CONTROL Regarding FINA regulations on this competition FINA Medical Delegate will make Anti-Doping Control supported by staff of Serbian Anti-Doping Agency (approved by WADA). All athletes may be subject to Anti-Doping Control sample collection and testing throughout the Championships. TECHNICAL MEETING Technical Meeting will be held on August, 4th 2017 at 18 h at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Vladimira Popovića 10. Two representatives of each participating Team are kindly invited to be present on Technical Meeting with passports of players and copies of players passports which will be taken by staff of Anti-Doping Control. The team representative will be asked to give written approval for the correct version of national anthem and a correct color image of the national flag on behalf of their National Federation. The Final Entry Form has to be submitted to the TWPC DELEGATE at the Technical Meeting. Every Federation has to submit Final Entry Form, on which shall be confirmed up to thirteen players and three bench officials. Only these players and bench officials are allowed to be listed in the protocol of the games. No changes are possible after submission of Final Entry Form. Serbian Water Polo Federtion will provide transportation from official hotels to Technical Meeting and back. Transportation schedule will be given to each team upon arrival in Belgrade. OFFICIAL DINNER The date, time and place of Official Dinner tba. Two representatives of each participating Team are kindly invited to be present on Official Dinner. Serbian Water Polo Federtion will provide transport to to Official Dinner. The exact transportation plan will be given to the Team Managers upon arrival.

USEFUL INFORMATION The official language is Serbian. The climate in Belgrade is a moderate continental one. Belgrade is in the Central European Time (CET) zone (GMT+1 hour). Summer time (GMT+2 hours) lasts from the end of March until the end of October. The official currency is the dinar (RSD). Working hours Banks and post offices Working hours of banks and post office on week days from 08:00 to 19:00, Saturdays until 13:00. Stores Working hours of most shops in the city is from 08:00 to 20:00, Saturdays until 14:00, and Sundays are closed. Groceries and related goods have longer working hours, some work on Sundays.
