In 2001 34 local authorities located along the Via Francigena (convened in Fidenza by the then mayor Massimo Tedeschi) signed the certificate of incorporation of the European Association of the Vie Francigene. EAVF coordinates and connects all the institutions (local, regional, national and European) involved in the enhancement of the route. Published in trilingual version (English, French and Italian). Presents cultural and historical information, events, projects and insights on the activity of the Association. Officially presented in prestigious venues throughout Europe (Rome, Reims, Santiago, Paris, Canterbury). Available on-line on the website www.rivistaviafrancigena.it and also in the newsstands along the path.
The aim is to promote, in one single schedule, all the events that take place in the territories crossed by the Via Francigena More than 700 October 2016. events from May to 17 european Regions involved. Official website festival.viefrancigene.org, with more than 500.000 potential visitors.
Published by «Terre di Mezzo» (Milan) and officially presented in July 2016. Presents the official path validated by EAVF. Available on line on the website www.viefrancigene.org, also with the credential, and in the best bookshops. The realization of the second volume from Canterbury to the Great Saint Bernard Pass is under way.
The credential is the official pilgrim s passport. It attests his passage on the Via Francigena. The credential is availabe on-line on the website www.viefrancigene.org and at various stages along the path. In 2015 we distributed approximately 13.000 credentials. The income generated by the selling of the credentials (3 euros) is used to sustain the activities of AEVF.
