This categry includes lng walking days and perhaps shrter but mre demanding walks, such as a shrt ice-hike like the Viedma Ice Trek, r several day hikes. Arrival t El Chalten, a small twn f 300 lcated at the ft f Fitz Ry and Cerr Trre and n t Laguna Cndr Muntain Hut, ur private prperty lcated n the banks f Ri de las Vueltas, 17 kms nrth f twn. Grup transfer frm El Calafate Airprt t El Chalten Accmmdatin: Twin Cabin at Laguna Cndr Welcme Dinner (Fixed 3 Curse Meal n beverages) Day 2: 9th Octber Full Day Hike Laguna de ls 3 Hsteria el Pilar, is the starting pint fr this beautiful and classic walk in Ls Glaciares Natinal Park. We will begin by meandering thrugh beech wds and befre lng we will get ur first views f the imperius Munt Fitzry and the glaciers and lakes that flw frm it. As the landscape pens befre us, this view will becme mre expansive and dramatic. Eventually we will reach ne f the tw campsites where climbers wait ut the weather befre attempting t climb Fitzry r the ther peaks in the massif. Frm here starts a steep climb that leads us t Laguna De Ls Tres, frm where we will have an utstanding panramic view frm the heights. If the day is clear we will be able t see Viedma Lake at a distance and the steppe that flws deeper int the hrizn. Frm El Chalten, a transfer will take us back t Laguna Cndr Muntain Hut. Bx Lunch Accmmdatin: Twin Cabin at Laguna Cndr Breakfast, Lunch Bx, Dinner (Fixed 3 Curse Meal n beverages ). Distance: 20 kms/12 miles ( 8 hrs ) Elevatin Gain: 700 mts/2296ft Day 3: 10th Octber Full Day Hike Laguna Trre Anther classic full-day hike: Laguna Trre. We will begin ur trek frm the htel in El Chaltén fllwing the Fitz Ry river valley alng a gd path until reaching the first lkut pint where we will get great views f the Munt Trre- Adelas muntain range and the magical spire f Cerr Trre. We will g ahead twards Lake Trre. The walk cntinues ver flat terrain until we reach ne f the tw campsites used by climbers attempting the daring ascent f Cerr Trre. A little further gets us t the recent mraine arund Lake Trre which we will climb up and ver t view the lake itself and the Trre glacier tumbling int it. And, if cluds allw it, the thrusting silhuette f Cerr Trre will dazzle everyne. Return via the secnd campsite t El Chaltén. Distance: 18 km/11 mi ( 6 hrs )

Day 4: 11th Octber Half Day Viedma Trek In the mrning, a transfer will pick us up frm the htel t drive us t Bahia Tunel, (Tunnel Bay) 15 km frm twn During this excursin, yu will learn the histry f the largest glacier in Argentina and its behavir ver the past 10 years, during which it has shwn a cnstant and drastic retreat. Yu will witness the nticeable ersin f the ice ver the rcks and the visible results. Yu will capture extrardinary views f the glacier frm different pints, n a jurney alng natural trails. This is such an ideal excursin t share with family and friends. Apprximately after 1-hur navigatin, during which yu will bserve large icebergs, yu will disembark n a rcky prmntry area t start trekking. The trekking n the prmntry area will allw yu t appreciate the histry f the glaciatins, the mvement f large ice blcks smthing the rcks, and t acknwledge nature as the main mdeler f the landscape that yu enjy tday. This prmntry area is a terrain rarely seen and it Is the ideal pint fr the Glacilgy talks ffered by ur guides. Day 5: 12th Octber El Calafate Estancia Cristina After a half an hur bus trip t Puert Bandera s Harbur, yu get n bard the bat that will take yu t Estancia Cristina via the Upsala Glacier, in the far nrth fjrd f Lake Argentin. Estancia Cristina is lcated n the remtest arm f the Argentin Lake. Fr many years English settlers lived here, becming well knwn amngst explrers, climbers, and adventurers; all f whm used the Estancia as a starting r finishing pint t venture int the Ice Cap and its unexplred peaks. Padre Agstini, and Eric Shiptn are tw f the famus explrers/muntaineers that spent sme time in the Estancia. There is a fascinating small museum at the Estancia with many artefacts frm Cristina s past. Nwadays bats bring turists fr a day visit t the Estancia and The Upsala glacier, sme chse t stay in the recently pened ldge, but very few have the chance f walking the valleys, and explring the surrundings. A shrt climb takes yu ver the ridge frm where yu get a fantastic panramic view f the Upsala glacier flwing frm the Suthern Patagnian Ice Cap int Lag Argentin. The Ice Cap is the third largest amunt f ice in the wrld and the biggest utside plar latitudes. Reluctantly leaving behind this awe-inspiring view yu begin yur descent int Fssil Canyn. Many f the rcks in the area shw numerus embedded fssils, frm the past marine ingressins when the Pacific Ocean cvered mst f Patagnia, and sme f these sedimentary rcks were frmed. All this happened lng befre the Andes Range existed. Much later all the landscape was sculpted by the incredible frce f huge ice caps, and what we see tday is a tiny memry f the last glaciatins. The clrful rck, deep water pls and scattered fssils make fr a fascinating and absrbing walk and befre yu knw it yu will have reached the valley flr and the end f yur hike.
