NARRATIVE In early January, MEMPHIS made a short underway in support of another unit's Tactical Readiness Evaluation in the Southern Atlantic. Upon return to port, MEMPHIS began the POM Cycle for a summer deployment. MEMPHIS had a short underway for local operations in February. MEMPHIS made a liberty port visit in Port Everglades, Florida in March. MEMPHIS made three short underways in local areas in support of POM Certifications during April, May, and June. MEMPHIS completed POM certification in June. MEMPHIS deployed to the North Atlantic 14 June. From 14 June to 14 December she completed operations in the North Atlantic. MEMPHIS visited Bergen, Norway in August, completed a deployed upkeep in Plymouth in September and visited Bremerhaven, Germany in November. MEMPHIS finished the deployment with an Operational Reactor Safeguards Exam on the transit from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Groton in December. MEMPHIS completed the year with the crew in standown following the six-month deployment. Enclosure (3)
