All prices shown are subject to change without prior notice. Itinerary All days not listed are spent at sea enjoying the excellent facilities aboard Magellan. Ports of call may be subject to change. Day One Magellan sails from London Tilbury as you familiarise yourself with your new, floating home, and the first of many wonderful evenings in the company of fellow adventurers. Day Two Call in delightful Amsterdam, with its canals and waterways, before sailing south to the sun. Relax as the days become warmer and you head towards Spain and the Atlantic. Day Seven Arriving in the verdant, mid-atlantic Azores archipelago, there's a welcome opportunity to step ashore in historic Ponta Delgada. The city has been a stopping-off point for transatlantic sailors down the centuries. Day 14 Experience bustling, colourful, cricket-loving Bridgetown today. This Barbadian getaway is a gateway to some of the Caribbean's most popular resorts.

Day 16 Magellan's second sun-kissed Caribbean call is relaxed Curacao's capital, Willemstad. Discover a UNESCO World Heritage site full of colonial charm. Day 17 Beautiful Aruba, your second call in the stunning Dutch Antilles, features a mix of sublime tropical beaches and Europeaninfluenced step-gabled houses. Day 19 Spend today sailing from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean along the Panama Canal, the waterway which connects the two bodies of water and separates the two 'halves' of the Americas. Day 22 Call in the legendary Mexican 'fiesta town' of Acapulco. A full day here offers a taste of Central America in an idyllic setting that has withstood the tests of time and tourism. Day 32 After a week of balmy days at sea, the breathtaking islands of French Polynesia are a colourful sight. Taiohae harbour, on tiny Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Isles, is your first chance to absord the atmosphere of this languid, tropical world. Day 35 Perhaps the most famous South Pacific island of all is idyllic Tahiti. Its capital, Pape'ete, is home to historic Le Marche market, the lush Vaipaha Gardens and a perfect lagoon, and seems to have appeared straight out of a Gauguin painting. Day 36 Today, legendary Bora Bora completes Magellan's trio of French Polynesian calls. The inspiration for 'Bali Hai' is a quintessential island paradise, with mountains, lagoons and sublime beaches. Day 38 Rugby Union-loving Rarotonga is the verdant principal of the Cook Islands. Meet some of the world's friendliest islanders, and discover their traditions and musical heritage for a memorable conclusion to your journey through the South Pacific. Day 43 Cross the International Date Line before you call in Auckland, the glittering 'City of Sails' on New Zealand's North Island. Step ashore to take in the Auckland Museum's priceless carvings and artefacts, or to enjoy a trip up the 328-metre Sky

Tower, the country's tallest structure. Perhaps join a shore excursion to the thermal city Rotorua's bubbling thermal pools and geysers. Day 45 Crossing the Cook Strait, Magellan makes her last stop in New Zealand in the cosmopolitan Kiwi capital, Wellington. See the city's striking modern architecture and colourful Botanic Gardens, and explore its host of bars, restaurants and cafes, before the ship heads west once more. Day 50-51 Vibrant, fun-loving Sydney's iconic Opera House, Harbour Bridge and famous beaches are just a handful of the highlights of this wonderful city. Make the most of your visit with an overnight stay. Day 54 Today, Magellan calls at privately owned Hamilton Island, in Captain Cook's Whitsundays archipelago (named after the day he arrived in 1770). Spend a lazy day here, or take a boat to the other islands in the group. Alternatively, seek out the glass lifts that feature in some of the resort's hotels, and take a ride to enjoy the stupendous views. Day 55 Bustling former gold town Townsville is not only a gateway to the bush beyond the city, it's also close to beautiful Magnetic Island, where koala bears can often be seen clinging to the eucalyptus trees. Day 56-57 Two days in sun-baked Cairns bring opportunities to take a glass-bottomed boat to a coral cay - as this is the stopping off point for the extraordinary Great Barrier Reef. Alternatively, head inland on an excursion to the magnificent tropical rainforest of the Atherton Tablelands. Day 61 Sail round the Cape York Peninsula, through the Arafura Sea, to your final Australian call, Darwin. From here you'll be able to join a shore excursion to the World Heritage Site at Kakadu National Park, with its swamps, mangroves, salt-water crocodiles and ancient aboriginal art. Day 64 Today, a first Indonesian island call offers the possibility of seeing the fearsome Monitor Lizard. The legendary giant 'dragons' are found only here and neighbouring Rinca, so join a National Park ranger to explore. Magellan sails this afternoon, heading towards the next paradise isle. Day 65

Magellan arrives in Bali's port of Benoa, gateway to an island as welcoming and colourful as any on the planet. Head ashore by tender to discover some of the delights of the south of the island, or take an excursion to explore further afield. Day 67 The former Dutch colonial outpost of Semerang, Java, radiates charm with a fascinating old town and a colourful Chinese quarter among its attractions. A shore excursion today will offer the opportunity to discover the world's largest Buddhist shrine, at Borobudur. Day 68 The former Spice Trade port of Jakarta is now one of South East Asia's most dynamic, ultra-modern cities. Its Dutch colonial past includes the Old Harbour's pinisi schooners, historic warehouses and the 18th-century City Hall. See the golden-tipped National Monument and perhaps the National Museum, a treasure-chest of Chinese and Asian artefacts. Day 71 A cruise through the South China Sea brings you to oil-rich Brunei, where highlights include the stupendous Omar Saifuddien Mosque and the Royal Regalia Building (housing the Sultan's priceless treasures). No visit here is complete without taking in the delightful water village at Kampong Ayer. Day 72 Idyllic Kota Kinabalu is the principal settlement of the state of Sabah, and stands close to Malaysia's highest peak. Discover its delightful mix of Chinese, Malay, expatriate European and local cultures. Day 74 Raised from the ruins of WWII, the prosperous capital of the Philippines is a jaw-dropping, cosmopolitan melting pot of cultures. While Old Manila provides an insight to the city's past, and the restored cathedral reflects its status as Asia's largest Christian settlement, reminders of its long-term ties with the west can be seen throughout. Days 76-77 Two full days in Hong Kong will give you lots of time to discover this exciting city. Explore under your own steam, or choose from optional excursions - to Victoria Peak, floating city Aberdeen, colourful Stanley Market, to take in the North Shore's spectacular skyline or cross Victoria Harbour on the Star Ferry. Day 79 Cruise into bewitching, UNESCO-listed Halong Bay, where countless limestone pillars and cone-shaped islands rise out of the seascape. An optional shore excursion, today, takes you to thevietnamese capital, Hanoi, with its labyrinthine '36 Streets', tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake and its island Ngoc Son Temple. Elsewhere in the city, highlights include the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum,

the former leader's traditional house, the fascinating Museum of Ethnology and colourful Dong Xuan market. Day 81 Magellan calls in the tiny port of Chan May, gateway to central Vietnam's stunning beaches and UNESCO-listed treasures. Take a shore excursion, perhaps to see pretty riverside Hoi An's preserved traditional buildings or to enchanting Imperial City Hue, where Royal pavilions and the tombs of emperors are hidden behind imposing walls. Days 83-84 An overnight stay in Vietnam's famous Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), brings opportunities to join fascinating optional shore excursions. Visit the remarkable Cu Chi tunnel complex - a former Viet Cong base - or the Mekong Delta's scenic landscape of rice paddies, orchards and colourful market towns. Days 86-87 Conclude your South China Sea passage with an overnight stay in Singapore - dynamic island-city and former British outpost. Here the remnants of its rich history - in Little India, China Town, the Colonial District and Raffles Hotel - meet glitzy malls and Marina Bay's futuristic wonders. Shop, sightsee or join optional excursions to experience it all. Day 88 Cruising along the Malaysian coast, Magellan calls at historic Port Klang, gateway to Kuala Lumpur. The Malay capital itself boasts the sky-piercing Petronas Towers among its spectactular sights, and a shore excursion will reveal this buzzing, cosmopolitan city, where the preserved Old Railway Station contrasts with glitzy new developments. Day 89 Colourful, Malaysian Penang is a feast for the senses. Step ashore to discover sensational street food, George Town's traditional Chinese shophouses, stunning beaches and breathtaking tropical gardens. Day 90 Island paradise Phuket has luxurious developments, rubber plantations and a bustling main town. Enjoy a last 'taste of the east', or perhaps a last visit to an idyllic beach, before Magellan heads across the Andaman Sea and into the Indian Ocean. Day 94 Arrive in the Indian sub-continent at Chennai, formerly 'Madras', the country's fourth-largest city. 'Clive of India' once worked here, at historic Fort St George, as a humble clerk for the East India Company. Optional shore excursions will reveal relics of the Raj at the Fort Museum, Marina Beach, the Chepauk Cricket Stadium and St Mary's Church, the oldest British building in India, or Kanchipuram, a city of 1000 temples, renowned for its

exquisite hand-woven silks and saris. Day 96 This afternoon Magellan calls in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo. Explore the restored Fort area of this bustling city, and the ancient street markets of Pettah, or perhaps to take a shore excursion into the lush, temple-studded countryside. Day 98 Male is the island capital of the idyllic Maldives archipelago. Dominated by the dome of the Friday Mosque, and a wonderfully colourful, bustling place, it's the last Asian call before Magellan heads across the Arabian Sea. Day 102 After yet more relaxing days aboard your floating home, you'll arrive in Salalah, the 'Perfume Capital of Arabia'. The Sultanate of Oman's second city, this ancient settlement is also gateway to a landscape of frankincense trees and coconut palms. Step ashore to explore or perhaps visit the ruins of ancient Khor Rori. Day 107 From the Red Sea port of Safaga, an optional full-day excursion will take you to Luxor, once the ancient Egyptian capital Thebes. Discover temples at Luxor and Karnak, the vast columns of the Hypostyle Hall, and the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings - where Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered Tutankhamun's tomb. Day 108 Today brings another unforgettable optional excursion - from the luxurious Jordanian port of Aqaba to the extraordinary 'Rose Red' City of Petra. Etched into the sandstone cliffs and hillsides the lost city's extraordinaty buildings are among the most unforgettable sights on Earth. Day 109 Passage through the world's most famous - and busiest - waterway, the Suez Canal, brings Magellan into the Mediterranean, where a quintet of calls brings the opportunity to discover yet more wonders a little closer to home. Day 110 Another extraordinary, exciting day awaits at Ashdod, gateway to Israel and the Holy Land. Optional shore excursions include coastal resort city Tel Aviv, with its ancient neighbour Jaffa. Alternatively, travel into the Judean Hills to Jerusalem itself to discover the Wailing Wall, the labyrinthine souks of the Old City and Christianity's holiest shrine - the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Day 112 Today Magellan docks in Piraeus for a visit to beguiling, bustling Athens. Don't miss the chance to climb the Acropolis to

the ruins of the Parthenon, one of the world's most enduring monuments. and an awe-inspiring window onto the city's rich Classical past. Day 114 Magellan's final Mediterranean island call is Malta, with its stunning natural Grand Harbour at Valletta. Explore the surrounding streets, or head into the rugged interior - perhaps to the haunting 'silent city' of Mdina. Day 117 A morning call in Gibraltar - 'more British than Britain' - brings a first real taste of home. Wander past the familiar shops on Main Street, or perhaps to take the cable-car to the top of the Rock for views across the Straits to Africa. Day 118 An appropriate final call for Magellan is the great seafaring city of Lisbon - hub of the Age of Discovery. A last shore excursion will introduce the Portuguese capital, before Magellan begins her final two-day passage home in the afternoon. Day 121 Magellan arrives back in Tilbury, at the end of her amazing globe-trotting adventure.
