Significant activity by carrier follows: Airline American + US Airways Southwest + AirTran Delta JetBlue Comments 1.5% decrease in passenger activity Increased service to Boston in March 214; Hartford, Los Angeles, and St. Louis in June 214; and Columbus, Indianapolis, and Providence in September 214 Reduced and discontinued service to a number of destinations in June and July 214 in accordance with planned reductions in slot usage as a result of the merger 8.3% increase in passenger activity as new slots divested by American are taken over by Southwest New service to Kansas City in March 214, Chicago Midway, Nashville and New Orleans in August 214 12.9% increase in passenger activity Reduced service to Memphis in January 214 New service to Madison and Omaha in February 214 23.1% increase in passenger activity as JetBlue begins utilizing slots divested by American New service to Charleston (SC) and Hartford in June 214 Increased service to Tampa in July 214 passenger traffic increased 6.7% in September as reductions to Montreal by American + US Airways were offset by new service to Nassau by JetBlue and increased activity on Air Canada. The combined American + US Airways, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share with 54.2%, a decrease compared to 58.5% in September 213.

Washington Dulles Airport Passenger Activity commercial passenger activity increased 1.3% in September 214. Significant activity by carrier follows: Airline United Frontier Comments 3.5% decrease in passenger activity Discontinued service to Salt Lake City in December 213, Albuquerque in April 214, Ft. Lauderdale in May 214, Binghamton in June 214, and Miami in September 214 Decreased service to St. Louis, Morgantown (WV), and Grand Rapids in June 214, Cincinnati in July 214, and Cleveland in September 214 Increased service to Albany in April 214; began service to Clarksburg in June 214 New service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Minneapolis, Orlando, and Tampa in August 214 and to Chicago O Hare, Cincinnati, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Memphis, St. Augustine, and St. Louis in September 214 Passenger Activity September 214 international commercial passenger traffic increased 1.9%. Significant activity by carrier follows: Airline Comments United 6.2% decrease in passenger activity Reduced service to Kuwait in October 213, and London and Montreal in November 213 Discontinued service to San Salvador in April 214 Resumed service to Halifax in July 214 Air China New service to Beijing began in June 214 TACA + 21.5% increase in passenger activity Avianca Increased service to San Salvador in March 214 Austrian 41.9% increase in passenger activity due to aircraft upgauging in July 214 Air France 27.9% decrease in passenger activity due to a comparable reduction in operations as a result of the pilot s union strike that cancelled many flights United Airlines, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share of 62.9%, a decrease compared to 66.6% in September 213. Cargo Activity For the month of September 214, total cargo increased 6.3% at Dulles from a year earlier. cargo increased.2% with increases on UPS (15.9%) and United (9.6%) partially offset by a 3.8% decrease on FedEx. cargo increased 9.6% due to increases on United (26.2%), All Nippon (2.4%), Austrian (4.5%), and Brussels (64.2%), as well as new service by Air China. Baltimore-Washington Airport Current month commercial passenger activity vs. September 213 increased 3.3%. BWI passenger activity outpaced activity at Dulles by 8.k commercial passengers (.4%) and National by 135.7k passengers (8.1%). Southwest continues to have the largest passenger market share with 7.8%, up from 69.1% in September 213. Cargo activity at BWI totaled 8.7k metric tonnes, a 2.2% increase from a year earlier. Activity on BWI s largest cargo carrier, FedEx, declined 6.7% from September 213.
