Upon arrival to Calgary, we will transfer to our downtown hotel. Welcome dinner and the remainder of the evening at your leisure. D Monday, July 15, 2019 Calgary - Banff An exciting day awaits! We will transfer by our private motor coach to Banff and enjoy a sightseeing tour including a stop at Kananaskis for a once-in-a-lifetime 12 minute helicopter sightseeing tour. In Banff, among the points of interest are Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. We have included a Banff gondola ride today. The afternoon and evening is a leisure. Dinner is included at our hotel. B, D Tuesday, July 16, 2019 Banff Lake Louise Another stunning day is ahead of us. After a hearty breakfast, we leave Banffs for a tour through Yoho National Park, viewing some of its magnificent natural wonders en route to Lake Louise. Among the points of interest are the Spiral Tunnels, the turquoise serene waters of Emerald Lake and a natural Rock Bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. After checking in at our Lake Louise hotel, the remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure for you to explore the breathtaking surroundings of the famous lake. Dinner is served at the hotel. B, D Wednesday, July 17, 2019 Lake Louise Kamloops We transfer in the morning to the rail station to board the Rocky Mountaineer and an unforgettable 2-day journey is waiting. We travel from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia s interior. Our journey takes us through a spectacular array of scenery as we travel between the glacier and snowcapped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today s journey we will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops Adventure, discovering the coastal temperate rainforest and British Columbia s First Nations heritage. Next, we will visit Grouse Mountain (gondola tour included), the Peak of Vancouver, and take in breathtaking views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains. B Saturday, July 20, 2019 Vancouver Island daytrip and the Butchart Gardens After an early breakfast, we board our private motor coach for a full day sightseeing tour over to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. We enjoy a 90-minute cruise on BC Ferries across the Strait of Georgia and through the picturesque Gulf Islands. Upon arrival in Swartz Bay, we will continue onto the worldrenowned Butchart Gardens with their 50-acre display of magnificent color and floral arrangements. Here you will have free time to explore. Re-boarding our coach, the tour continues onto downtown Victoria. Highlights en route include the Inner Harbor, Beacon Hill Park, the Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Empress Hotel.
