THAILAND YACHT SHOW 2016 11 14 February 2016 / Ao Po Grand Marina, Phuket The inaugural Thailand Yacht Show 2016 will take place at Phuket s Ao Po Grand Marina and is set to become the focal point of the luxury superyacht charter business in Asia Pacific, as well as Thailand s main boating showcase. The change offers a serious financial incentive for many overseas owners considering bringing their yachts to South East Asia at the end of the summer season in the Mediterranean, instead of plying the usual route West to the Caribbean. On average, a visiting superyacht will spend at least $2 million in the country in which it is based for the season providing a major impact on the local economy, stimulating job creation, local infrastructure development and the attraction of inward investment. The Thailand Yacht Show 2016 will position Thailand as the premiere leisure marine destination in Asia Pacific, and will provide Thailand and the whole region with an essential tool in its quest to become the third global yachting destination, with Phuket at its epicentre. Experiential Marketing The first edition of the Thailand Yacht Show in February 2016 is expected to attract 5,000 visitors to meet some 40 exhibitors and view around 50 boats and yachts in the marina.
