Opened unlocked window. Victim advises she discovered padlock for her shed lying on the ground. Further inspection victim noticed that two windows on her garage where open. The windows were not open a day prior to the discovery. Victim advises that items are missing from the garage.
06/07/2015 12:57pm 17000 Dorset Ave. Side door was kicked in. Victim states she left her residence around 10:14am. When she went to set her alarm via cell phone at approx. 1:44pm it showed that her door was open. Victim arrived home to discover her side entry door kicked in and the residence ransacked. A neighbor advised observing a suspicious Gray Chevy Impala cruising the area with 4- young B/M s inside. 2- B/M s exited the Impala and began walking down the sidewalk around the time of the Home Invasion. Possibly related.

Victim returned to her residence at 7:30pm and discovered several items missing from residence. Victim believes that a childhood friend who had knowledge that she was leaving town is responsible. Prior to leaving the friend had asked victim if he could stay at her apartment while she was gone. Victim told the friend no and keys to her apartment came up missing prior to her leaving. Suspect has two teardrop tattoos from his left eye as well as names tattooed on his face. At 12:00am he discovered his vehicle missing from the parking lot. Victim states he noticed the lock he used for the steering wheel broken and on the ground where the vehicle was originally parked. 06/01/2015 2:00pm 16000 North Park Dr. (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model FUSION Color DGR - Dark Green Vehicle Year 2010 Body Style State MI License Year 2016 Description MOTOR VEHICLE Victim advises that a friend was in possession of her vehicle when a third party grabbed the keys for vehicle and took the vehicle w/o permission. The third party that took the vehicle was contacted and she stated that the vehicle was taken and now in possession of a friend of hers. Incident is under investigation.
06/05/2015 8:30am 15000 Meadowood Ave. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model FLEX Color Vehicle Year 2010 Body Style State MI License Year Description Ford Flex Victim advises the vehicle was last seen a short time after midnight. The vehicle was discovered missing the following morning. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of the residence. On 06/09/2015 @ 9:56am Southfield Police Dispatch received a LEIN message from a neighboring jurisdiction notifying that they had recovered the vehicle. The message stated that the vehicle was recovered, intact with plate and keys and the suspect that was driving the vehicle was taken into custody for Auto Theft. She was approached by a boy (suspect) she went to elementary school with. They started talking and victim told suspect she was looking for a cell phone to buy for her little brother. Suspect said that he had a cell phone that he would sell for an undisclosed amount. On 6/1/2015, victim met with suspect and gave suspect undisclosed amount of money. In-turn suspect gave victim a white Apple IPhone box. Victim took the box and later gave it to her brother as a present. Her brother opened the box and discovered it was filled with blue play doe. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.
06/03/2015 12:11pm 10000 Hampton Towne (Condo s) Status S Stolen- Leaf Blowers Manufacturer RedMax. Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2015 Victim states he and his crew were taking care of the grounds at the Condo Complex when he noticed a Small Black Car with 2 B/M s in it driving around the complex slowly. A couple minutes later victim pulls up to his enclosed equipment trailer to see the same car parked at the back end of his trailer and a B/M with a yellow shirt jumping into the car as it sped off. Victim then discovered that suspects had taken two leaf blowers. Suspect Vehicle Description: Status S Suspect Vehicle Manufacturer Foreign Model 2 door Partial- License No. DEX Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year Body Style 2D - 2 Door Description Older With 1 Drivers Side Wheel Not Matching.
From: 06/03/2015 8:20am To: 06/03/2015 2:15pm 29000 Northwestern (Commercial- Medical) Catalytic Converter was taken from 2005 Honda CRV. Victim states sometime between 8:20am- 2:15pm someone cut off the catalytic converter from her vehicle. 06/04/2015 7:50pm 06/05/2015 8:00am 26000 American Dr. (Hotel) 25000 W Twelve Mile (Apartments) Status S Stolen- License Plate Manufacturer STATE OF MICHIGAN Color Description LICENSE PLATE Resident files containing personal information. Victim states the license plate was stolen off her vehicle on Thursday June 4, 2015 sometime between 6:30pm- 7:30pm. Plate was on victims 1998 Lincoln Navigator. Property Manager (R/P) for Apartment Complex came into the station to report that someone had stolen numerous residents files from their office. It was later reported by a neighboring jurisdiction that they stopped a vehicle occupied by three subjects. During the stop Officers from that jurisdiction recovered several resident files believed to be the ones stolen from the Apartment Complex in Southfield. Two subjects were arrested and incident is under investigation.
06/06/2015 8:10am 25000 Lahser Rd. (Church- Hall & Banquet Facility) Two Purses were taken. One purse was recovered. Officers were dispatched to investigate Found Property. Officers recovered a Black Purse containing misc. items including Credit/ Debit Cards. The victim was located and she stated she attended a function last night (06/05/2015) in the 25000 Block of Lahser Rd and her purse was discovered missing. Victim declined to contact police or report the incident. When victim came into the station to get her purse she stated that a second Black Purse containing undisclosed amount of cash and make-up was also taken.
06/07/2015 9:44am 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital) Hospital Equipment was taken. Officer s investigation revealed that a hospital employee had just stocked a medical cart with several items in a hospital room. The hospital employee left the room for a short time only to return and discover that the items that she had just put into the medical cart were now gone. There was a patient in the room and the missing medical supplies were located in the patient s bag. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. From: 06/04/2015 10:00pm To: 06/05/2015 8:00am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Purse was taken. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim inadvertently left her purse on top of her car on Thursday June 4, 2015@10:00pm. Victim returned to her vehicle on Friday June 5, 2015@ 8:00am. The purse was gone. No suspect information.
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 06/06/2015 3:07am 26000 Central Park (Hotel) Cell Phones and Cash were taken. Several Southfield Officers were dispatched to Armed Robbery just occurred at Hotel in the 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd. Victims stated 3- B/F s knocked at their door. After opening the door 8- B/M s armed with guns rushed in demanding their cell phones and money. Suspects took several cell phones and cash from victims. The suspects were gone prior to Officers arrival. Some of the victims stated they knew the suspects from school. The suspects left in a Red Malibu with a green rear bumper (possible paper plate). Most of the suspects have been identified and incident is under investigation.
06/07/2015 4:45pm 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Attempt Only: Nothing taken. The victim was at Hotel in the 27000 Block of Northwestern to deliver a pizza. The victim completed the delivery and was approaching his vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect approached the victim with a Red Brick in his hand and said, "Give me your money." He held up the brick as though to strike the victim. The victim laughed thinking it might be a joke. The suspect waited a few seconds then fled to his vehicle. Suspect was described as a B/M/ Age 19, 5-9 140lbs, short afro wearing a white baggy t-shirt, faded blue jeans, white gym shoes and a scraggly beard. Suspect vehicle: Older Gray Ford Escort with a loud exhaust and faded paint. The victim believes the listed suspect vehicle had been following him around the past few days on his deliveries. Unarmed Robbery: 06/02/2015 7:05pm Providence Dr. & Coach House Rd. Wallet & 3- Prepaid Credit Cards were taken. Victim was walking in front of Apartments on Providence Drive when a Dark Grey Charger with 2 B/M occupants drove past her and stopped in the roadway. The passenger, B/M, dark complexion, in his early 20's, approximately 5'-8 wearing a red shirt, exited the vehicle and stated "hey you b----" and snatched her wallet from underneath her arm and jumped back in the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen driving E/B on Providence Drive toward Greenfield Rd. The driver was a B/M in his 20's, lighter complexion and shorter, maybe 5'-6. Both suspects had short hair. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding 06/01/2015 12:12am 28000 Block of Everett St. Officer responded to location on a Home Invasion in progress. Suspect is Homeowners boyfriend and he is running around the house with a red crow bar attempting to gain entry into the residence. As Officer was nearing the scene he observed suspect vehicle Black Ford Fusion N/B on Everett. Several Officers now in the area attempted to stop suspect vehicle but it accelerated around police vehicles and fled. Officers pursued vehicle until they lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Kipling and 696 Service Dr. Shortly after our pursuit, another neighboring Police Agency located suspect vehicle and suspect fled from them as well. Victim confirmed that the suspect was her boyfriend. Officers positively identified suspect after pulling up a picture of him. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Fleeing & Eluding- 1- Arrest 06/05/2015 9:00am Evergreen Rd. & W Twelve Mile Rd. Officers were in the area of 12 Mile & Evergreen when a run came out about a vehicle driving recklessly in the parking lot. The vehicle was involved in several accidents and had almost hit a pedestrian. The vehicle was located by Southfield Officer S/B on Southfield Rd and a traffic stop was attempted. The vehicle fled from officers. The vehicle was headed towards Southfield and Ten Mile Roads making no attempt to stop. Officers engaged the vehicle forcing it off the road. The driver was taken into custody. It appeared that the suspect may be challenged. No parties were injured.
Special Attention: Any citizen that has any information relating to any of the incidents in this report please contact the Southfield Police Detective Bureau. 1-248-796-5540 OWI/ CPL Violation- 1- Arrest 06/06/2015 3:56am W Nine Mile Rd. & Evergreen Rd. Officers were dispatched to check on a slumped subject. Officers arrived and observed Black BMW was stationary in the left turn lane of N/B Evergreen Rd. Officers observed the driver of the vehicle asleep behind the wheel. Officers approached the BMW and observed the vehicle was running, in drive with the driver s foot on the brake. The driver was investigated and placed under arrest for OWI. During Officers investigation a handgun was located on the driver s person.
Possession of Synthetic Narcotic (Ecstasy)/ Possession of Marijuana 1- Arrest 06/05/2015 11:42pm Franklin Rd. & Kildare St. Officers initiated a traffic stop for speeding. After stopping vehicle Officers observed a plastic baggie with suspected marijuana in the vehicle, in plain view. Officers were given permission to search the vehicle. Officers recovered plastic baggie with suspected marijuana and a quantity of Pink Pills (Suspected Ecstasy) from the interior of the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected Marijuana and Ecstasy. Both tested positive for possible presence of marijuana and synthetic narcotics. The driver was arrested for Possession of Synthetic Narcotic (Ecstasy)/ Possession of Marijuana.
OWI- 1- Arrest 19000 Block of Hazelhurst Officers were dispatched to location on a report of a vehicular crash. Upon arrival officers discovered that the driver had been consuming intoxicating beverages. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver of the vehicle was arrested for OWI II. OWI- 1- Arrest 21000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Officer stopped a vehicle for travelling above the posted speed limit on Telegraph Road. Upon speaking with the driver he had an odor of intoxicants coming from his breath. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI.
