Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 04/24/2018 7:00pm To: 04/25/2018 6:00pm 29000 Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Business) Back door was pried. Attempt only. Owner was advised by employee that there was an attempt B&E on business sometime overnight. It doesn t appear that entry was gained and nothing was disturbed inside the business. 04/28/2018 3:50am 22000 W Eleven Mile Rd. (Commercial- Pharmacy) Rear door was pried open. Officers were dispatched to the 22000 Block of Eleven Mile Rd. (Pharmacy) on an alarm with motion. (3:50am) Upon arrival Officers discovered a good B&E. Rear door was pried open and an inner door was observed propped open. It appears that possibly some pills were taken and several drawers were opened and gone through in the pharmacy. Unknown for sure what was taken at this time. Note: Upon arrival Officers noted that they observed a Blue Dodge Ram Pick Up Truck S/B on Lahser Rd. from 11 Mile Rd. Possibly related to this incident? Southfield Police Evidence Technicians processed the scene. Evidence was collected and preserved. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 04/24/2018 9:14pm 28000 Franklin River Dr. Front door was pried open Victim states sometime between 04/22/2018 @ 6:00pm- 04/24/2018 @ 8:45pm someone forced entry into apartment and it appears that jewelry may have been taken. Victim hasn t had a chance to see what exactly was taken at this time. It appears that someone from the Apartment Complex discovered Home Invasion and maintenance for complex repaired the door. 04/26/2018 6:43pm 23000 Providence Dr. Apartment door was forced open. Victim states sometime between 7:30am- 6:00pm someone forced entry into apartment. Victim states her daughter s bedroom and her bedroom were gone through but it doesn t appear anything was taken. From: 04/25/2018 1:30pm To: 04/25/2018 10:20pm 25000 W Eight Mile Rd Apartment door was forced open. Victim states sometime between 1:30pm- 10:20pm someone forced entry into his apartment and took 2- Flat Screen TV s, an Xbox and 2- Bean Bag Chairs. There were two similar Home Invasions that occurred at the Apartment Complex back in December 2017. It appears that most likely the Home Invasions are occurring during the daytime after victims leave their apartments. (Commercial- Car Rental) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer TOYOTA Model CAMRY Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2017 Body Style State MI License Year Description BLACK 4DR Representative from Car Rental advises vehicle was rented on 03/06/2018 and was supposed to be returned no later than 03/13/2018. Letters were sent to subject that rented the vehicle. Vehicle hasn t been returned. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. 04/23/2018 10:09am 22000 Telegraph Rd. (Motel) Status RS Recovered Stolen Manufacturer LINCOLN Model LS Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2001 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description 2001 Silver Lincoln LS Temp Tag DSK3662 On 04/23/2018, Officers were dispatched to the 22000 Block of Telegraph (Motel) to check on an abandoned Silver Lincoln 4-dr. The vehicle was located and came back stolen out of Detroit. The vehicle was recovered and DPD was notified.

(Commercial- Plasma) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer DODGE Model DURANGO Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 1999 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description 1999 WHITE DODGE DURANGO Notes HEAVY RUST ON FRONT BUMPER/ SIDE PASSENGER DAMAGE/ GRAY CLOTH INTERIOR Victim is an employee at medical facility. Prior to leaving work he went out and started his car. He left the vehicle running unattended and someone stole the vehicle. Surveillance video from business shows an unknown subject getting into victim s vehicle and driving away with the vehicle. No further description. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their vehicles running unattended! Only if you have a remote starter should you ever leave your vehicle running unattended. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: 04/26/2018 9:30pm To: 04/27/2018 6:30am 17000 Louise St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer LAND ROVER Model DISCOVERY Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2004 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description STOLEN 2004 LAND ROVER, SILVER Victim states his vehicle was parked in front of his residence. Sometime on 04/26/2018 between 9:30pm and the following morning at 6:30am someone stole his 2004 Silver Land Rover. Victim didn t have proper paperwork for entry but later brought it into the front desk and the vehicle was entered as stolen. No suspect information.

04/27/2018 7:46am 23000 Park Place Dr. Status I Recovered Stolen Manufacturer DODGE Model RAM 1500 Color GRN - Green Vehicle Year 2001 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI License Year 2018 Description 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Resident from apartment complex phoned in parking complaint. The vehicle in question turned out to be a stolen vehicle out of Detroit. The vehicle was recovered and DPD was notified. From: 04/27/2018 3:00am To: 04/27/2018 6:20am 25000 Shiawassee Rd. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer MITSUBISHI Model OUTLANDER SPORT Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style State MI License Year Description Black Outlander Sport 2016 Victim parked her Black 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in her apartment complex around 6:30pm. Victim discovered it missing the following morning at 6:20am. Victim states at 3:00am she heard some noise outside and looked out to see what the noise was. Victim didn t see anything at that time.

04/28/2018 4:13pm 29000 Somerset Dr. Status SR - Both Stolen and Recovered Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model MALIBU Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2010 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description BLACK 2010 CHEVY MALIBU Victim advises location is a Group Home. Victim started up her vehicle and left it running unattended. Another employee snuck outside and took off with victim s vehicle. Victim was able to identify the suspect as suspect was driving away with her vehicle. At approx. 5:30pm this same date, suspect returned the vehicle stating she took the vehicle to go to church? Victim advises she didn t give suspect permission to take her vehicle anywhere. Suspect has been identified. Victim doesn t wish to prosecute now that her vehicle has been returned. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victims purse was taken. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their purses in their shopping carts. This is a common M.O. for perpetrators to take woman s purses! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A Pink Purse was taken from victim s vehicle. Victim was loading groceries into her car when an unknown B/M ran up to her and stole her purse from her shopping cart. The B/M ran to a newer White Vehicle and fled the area. A partial plate was given to Officers. The vehicle was followed by a witness who lost sight of the vehicle on S/B James Couzens at 7 Mile Rd. in Detroit. Victim states her daughter and she were walking out to her vehicle at approx. 6:00am. Both saw an unknown B/M in the front passenger s seat of her vehicle. Once the B/M saw them, he got out of the car and ran north. Victim went back to her apartment and called 911. Victim checked her vehicle and discovered her pink purse was taken. Southfield Officers responded to the area and conducted a search for suspect. Officers located a subject matching the description of suspect on a nearby street. The victims positively identified the suspect and the suspect was taken into custody for the Larceny of Purse!

04/24/2018 12:51pm 23000 Wrexford Dr. Credit Cards were taken from victim s residence. Victim states his credit cards were stolen from his home and subsequently used to make numerous fraudulent transactions. Victim has no idea as to who might have stolen his cards. No suspect information at this time. 04/24/2018 10:40am 24000 Martha Washington Dr. Common Carrier Package was taken from victim s porch. Victim states a package was delivered to his residence on Martha Washington via Common Carrier on April 13, 2018@ 3:31pm. Victim arrived home @ 6:00pm, the package was gone. No suspect information. From: 04/23/2018 6:00pm To: 04/24/2018 10:30am 28000 Lockdale St. Status SR - Both Stolen and Recovered Manufacturer STATE OF MICHIGAN Model LICENSE PLATE Color WHI - White License Year 2018 Recovered Date/Time 04/27/2018 6:30pm Victim stated that someone stole his license plate sometime between 6:00pm and the following morning at 10:30am. On 04/27/2018, Southfield Officer was on routine patrol in the area of Telegraph at Nine Mile and observed victims Black Trailblazer with Michigan License Plate that was reported stolen. Officer ran the plate which came back stolen out of Southfield. Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was the registered owner who had reported the license plate stolen. Officer inquired about the stolen plate that was

attached to his vehicle. The owner provided Officer a registration dated 04/24/18 showing the stolen plate was replaced with another plate. The owner was shocked to see his stolen plate on the vehicle. The owner suspects someone is messing with him but he s not sure who it is. The original stolen plate was removed from LEIN as stolen and the new plate that victim had just put on his car was entered as stolen. From: 04/24/2018 9:00pm To: 04/25/2018 7:30am 16000 Oxley Rd. Cash was taken from victim s vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave any amount of cash inside their vehicle! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim made the Police Station to report her vehicle was broken into and cash was missing. Victim had parked her vehicle in the lot and observed driver rear window broken out early this morning. Vehicle was ransacked and it doesn t appear anything else was taken. No suspect info available at this time. 04/25/2018 6:11am 23000 Northwestern (Commercial- Automotive) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Apple Model Serial No. License No. Color BLK - Black Description iphone 8 Victim states that her phone must have fallen out of her pocket, possibly in the bathroom, and no one turned the phone into management as lost property. Victim had her coworker attempt to track the phone which was giving off a signal in the parking lot of the complex. The phone wasn t located.

From: 04/24/2018 8:30pm To: 04/25/2018 7:50am 16000 North Park Dr. Common Carrier Truck was broken into (window broken out) and five (5) packages were stolen from the vehicle. R/p is an employee for Carrier and had the Carrier Work Truck parked overnight at his apartment complex in the 16000 Block of North Park Dr. R/p woke up the following morning at approx. 7:50am and observed passenger window shattered and approx. 5 packages missing from his truck. Unknown what the packages contained. No suspect info available. From: 04/24/2018 10:00pm To: 04/25/2018 7:35am 20000 Rampart Cir. All Four Wheels & Tires and 2- TV s from headrests were taken from 2018 QX80 Infinity. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning 7:35am someone broke into victim s vehicle and took 2- TV s from headrests and All Four Wheels & Tires. From: 04/24/2018 9:00pm To: 04/25/2018 4:00pm 16000 Oxley Rd. Loose change was taken from the center console. Victim states sometime between 9:00pm and the following day at 4:00pm someone broke out window on vehicle and ransacked the vehicle. Stolen from the vehicle was some loose change from the center console. Nothing else was found to be missing at this time.

04/24/2018 10:10am 19000 Dorset St. Common Carrier Package with cell phone was taken. Victim states she filed a police report, reference a package with cell phone was previously taken from her front porch. Victim had planned to pick up her replacement cell phone from the carrier distribution center. For some reason, the carrier delivered the new cell phone to victim s front porch and the new one was also stolen. From: 04/27/2018 3:30pm To: 04/28/2018 11:00am 25000 Shiawassee Rd. Stolen Equipment: -(1) Vermeer S600TX Skid Steer (Walk-Behind), Color: Yellow/Black -(1) Yellow Flatbed Open-Air Work Trailer, Color: Yellow On 04/28/2018, R/P came to the front desk to report some missing equipment that was taken between 04/27/2018 at 3:30pm and 04/28/2018 at 11:00am from the south end of the Apartment Complex. R/P works for Underground Company, and is contracted to do construction work in that area along Shiawassee Rd. R/P came into work and discovered a Trailer and a Skid Steer missing. From: 04/28/2018 6:00pm To: 04/29/2018 11:00am 26000 Berg Rd. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Michigan License Plate License Year 2018 Plate stolen off 2003 Buick Century. Victim states that she was shopping at Grocery store in the 18000 Block of Eight Mile Rd. and believes someone got into her purse and took her wallet. Upon arrival, the officers met with the victim and were informed that he was robbed at gunpoint while he was attempting to purchase an I phone X that was advertised on Facebook Marketplace. The victim met with the seller in the lot at location and entered his vehicle. A short time later, a B/M in his 20 s entered the vehicle through the rear driver side door and pointed a handgun at victim. The suspect demanded the victim s belongings and the victim complied. The victim stated both suspects fled towards 9 Mile Rd. in a newer Red 4-Door Sedan. Suspect #1 (Driver) was a B/M approx. 20 years old. Suspect #2 was a B/M approx. 20 years old wearing a green shirt. #2 was armed with an unknown type handgun. Suspect Vehicle: A newer Red 4-Door Sedan.

04/27/2018 1:18am 26000 Central Park (Hotel) An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Victim stated that after exiting his car near his hotel room he saw a man wearing all black. The man approached him with what he believed to be a handgun and demanded his money. Victim stated that he got into a wrestling match for the gun. Victim stated that the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from him and fled towards the Service Dr. Victim stated this is the second time he's been robbed at the same location. The first one did not get reported. Victim had no signs of being on the wet ground or any dirt on his clothing. Victim made several suspicious statements and stated he was unable to go to a bank to make a deposit for fear of being robbed. Victim also did not call Police for 15-20 min after he claimed the robbery took place with no explanation as to why he waited. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Felonious Assault/ Shots Fired 04/29/2018 9:55pm 26000 Block of American Dr. (Office Building) Victim and suspect were in the 26000 Block of American Drive, in the parking lot arguing about how one critiqued the other on their performance during a rehearsal for a play. The argument got heated and a shoving match began. The suspect then went to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun and fired it at the victim s vehicle as he drove away. The victim s vehicle was struck in the driver side passenger door and rear fender area. The victim and suspect are known to each other. The victim was in Detroit when he called to report incident. He said he was not injured and gave all information over the phone to Officer s. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician went to the scene where victim stated incident occurred and 3- spent shell casings were found at the scene. Southfield Police Evidence Technicians processed the scene and collected evidence. Suspect has been identified and incident is under evaluation. Special Attention: Home Invasions Geographic Area 13 (Catalpa & Greenfield Rd.) 3- Home Invasions in the past two weeks. 1)28000 Block of Marshall St. Victim states sometime on Monday 04/16/2018 between 7:30am- 6:00pm someone forced entry into residence through the N/W bedroom window and took a Flat Screen TV, Jewelry & two watches. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and developed evidence. No suspect info. AOD/ Farmington Hills PD- F/A with a Knife 18/17158 22000 Block of Middlebelt Rd. 04/29/2018 11:03pm Southfield K-9 Officer and his K-9 were sent to location on a track for a F/A Domestic Assault stabbing suspect. Officer and his K-9 tracked through the complex and through a patch of woods where they encountered the suspect. The suspect was arrested and turned over to Farmington Hills PD. The knife was also located by K-9 while conducting an article search along the path of the track. 2) 16000 Block of Catalpa Dr. Victim states she left her home on Saturday 04/20/2018 around 9:30am and returned home around 4:30pm. After returning home she discovered her dresser drawers and closet were gone through. Victim discovered the patio sliding door wall slightly opened. She couldn't remember if she had locked the slider since she used it last. Victim states there was no damage to the door wall and nothing was missing from the residence. AOD/ MSP- Suicidal Subject threatening to jump off bridge at 696 & Coolidge Rd. 04/23/2018 12:57am 696 & Greenfield Rd. Southfield Officers assisted MSP with closing the freeway due to a suicidal subject threatening to jump off the bridge at Coolidge onto I-696. MSP defused the situation and reopened the freeway.

3) Home Invasion of Occupied Dwelling 05/02/2018 11:30pm 27000 Block of Fairfax Female occupant was in her bedroom and the male occupant was in the basement. Both heard footsteps on the main level of their home and each thought it was the other. Upon both victims meeting on the main floor it was discovered that the kitchen window was open and an unknown suspect entered the home. The female victim observed a Flat Screen TV was taken as well as their 2007 Gray Ford Explorer. The vehicle was taken with keys that were on the kitchen counter. No suspect information. Domestic/ Aggravated/ Felonious Assault- 1- Arrest 04/28/2018 10:46pm 25000 Block of Prairie Dr. Numerous Officers responded to residence on reports of shots fired and people can be heard screaming. Officers arrived on scene and observed subject standing in front of residence and another subject standing in the doorway to residence. Officers made contact, and secured all individuals including a B/F who was ordered out of the house. Officers cleared the house and declared it safe. Investigation revealed that the three subjects live together, husband, wife and wife s son who has been diagnosed with possible Mental Health Issue s. A domestic dispute was in progress when the son got a knife and threatened his step-father. The step-father got his handgun and at some point, when threatened, he shot four rounds into the air to scare his step-son. The step-son then threw the knife onto the neighbor s yard and they continued to argue until the police arrived. The step-son was taken into custody for evaluation and possible F/A charges.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. OWI- 1- Arrest 04/26/2018 12:22am Northwestern & Beck Rd. Southfield Officer observed a wrong way driver on Northwestern Hwy. Officer stopped the vehicle and a subsequent OWI investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for OWI and lodged at the Southfield Jail. See incident below that shows suspect taking package in recent incident: Type of Incident: Larceny Theft of Delivered Package from Porch Date of Incident: March 7, 2018 Time: 2:30 p.m. (approximately) Location: Area of 13 Mile Rd. and Southfield Rd. Incident Details: The suspect stole a package that was delivered and left on a porch in the area of 13 Mile and Southfield. He is also suspected of stealing another package on the same day in the area of Berkshire and Winchester.

Description of Suspect: Black male with a light complexion, approximately 20-30 years old, 5 10, with an athletic build. He was wearing gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
