IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS Things you need to know: This section is a synopsis of all of the important items you need to either plan for or you need to know. Read this section to help you prepare and organize for the show. 1. Promotion Several promotional opportunities are presented to exhibitors: a. Advertising-pre-show promotion is available in the April issue of Wire Journal International (WJI). In addition, advertisers in the April issue receive discounted rates in the Official Show Program, which is distributed to attendees onsite. b. Free publicity for your company is available in the April Wire Expo pre-show issue of WJI. Complete and return the ONLINE BOOTH DESCRIPTION FORM (See Section 3) by February 28, 2018. This issue will include many exhibitor advertisements and will be delivered to a circulation of more than 10,000. Photos of products are also accepted for possible publication. c. COMPLIMENTARY EXHIBIT PASSES will be issued to your company in electronic format. Use these passes to invite your customers to attend the exhibits free-of-charge. There is no charge to the exhibitor for these passes. 2. Arrival We suggest that you arrive on Monday May 1, as your exhibit will need to be ready by 6:00 p.m. that evening. Where should we go when we arrive at the center? WALK-INS: Proceed directly to the main registration area where you will pick up your name badge and registration materials. DRIVE-INS: If you drive in with exhibit material, proceed to the loading docks where you will be met by a freight supervisor. In the interest of safety, we will coordinate all loading dock freight to your booth. 3. Exhibitor Set-up Exhibitor set-up takes place between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2018. Wednesday morning is reserved for final stand review and final cleanup.. Exhibit Hours The exposition begins on Tuesday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. and runs until :00 p.m. Exhibit hours on Wednesday, May 16 are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m; 6. Forms and Deadlines Many of the forms included with this manual are for optional services, however there are basic forms that every exhibitor must return. Please refer to the "Sections and Forms" page at the beginning of the manual. 7. Hotels If you have not done so, make your hotel reservations NOW by logging onto www. wireexpo18.com. Rooms must be reserved no later than April 16, 2018. HOTEL IS EXPECTED TO SELL OUT EARLY!! 8. Exhibitor Registration and ID Badges There is no limit to, or cost for, entrance badges for exhibitors if badges are ordered in advance of the show. On site registrants will be charged $20 per badge. How do we receive our ID Badges? ID badges will be available for pick-up on-site. 9. Opening Reception The Opening Reception will be held on Tuesday evening. Tickets for this event will be issued to the primary contact for the exhibiting company. Additional tickets may be purchased in advance or on site. 10. Technical Sessions Exhibit company personnel are allowed free entrance into the conference sessions that run Tuesday and Wednesday. Fundamentals Course Seminars is available at an additional fee. 11. Hanging Signs The use of hanging signs is not permitted at Wire Expo except by Show Management for promotional or directional purposes. 12. Conference Registration Register online at www.wirenet.org. 13. Machinery The Wire Expo concept is to encourage the limitation of the higher exhibitor expense associated with a machinery display. However, at every Wire Expo there are exhibitors who feel that it is in their best interests to display machinery. Please contact the Show Contractor for specific regulations. 1. Checks and Credit Cards To register, make your check payable to The Wire Association International, Inc. Checks must be U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. The following credit cards are also accepted for event registration: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. Credit cards are required for hotel reservations. 1. WAI Member Discounts Wire Association International members save on several important items at the show. Membership qualifies you for discounts on hotels, full registration, short courses and WAI products sold at the show. Join today! 16. Promotions Release WAI uses photographs and/or the company names of show participants in our promotional material.
