We begin in Charlottetown at 6:30 am and stop to pick up passengers in Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln and Woodstock, along the way. Transfers are available from Halifax, Dartmouth, Truro and Saint John. We will stop for lunch at Acorn Restaurant (not included) in Lake George, NB. Your Tour Director will help keep you busy with games and entertainment on the coach. This evening we will check in to the Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Central. The complimentary hotel shuttle can take you to nearby shopping and restaurants. Overnight: Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Central Sunday, September 23 rd Day 2 Lancaster, Pennsylvania Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we will check out of our hotel and travel to Lancaster, PA. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Your Tour Director will keep you informed and entertained as we pass through Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Upon arrival in Lancaster we will enjoy an included welcome dinner at Plain & Fancy Farm. Following dinner we will check in to the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lancaster East. Monday, September 24 th Day 3 Tour Gettysburg Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we travel to Gettysburg, PA to visit the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. The museum features relics of the Battle of Gettysburg, interactive exhibits, and presentations that cover the conflict from beginning to end as well as describe the Battle of Gettysburg and its terrible aftermath. The center also hosts the film, "A New Birth of Freedom", and the restored Gettysburg Cyclorama, which depicts the final fury of Gettysburg. This afternoon we will enjoy lunch at General Pickett s Buffett (included). After lunch we return to Gettysburg for a guided tour of the Battlefield. Tonight enjoy a free evening to explore the Lancaster area on your own. Have dinner at a local restaurant or shop at the nearby Rockvale Outlets. This morning we will have free time to explore Lancaster Central Market. Lancaster Central Market is the country s oldest continuously operating farmer s market. Have lunch (not included) before this afternoon s guided tour. This afternoon you will be joined by a Step-On Guide for a tour of Lancaster. Your guide will take you deep into the heart of the oldest Amish community in the world where you ll marvel at some of the most beautiful farmland you ll ever set eyes upon. Witness spectacular panoramas of patchwork farms unparalleled in their intrinsic beauty, still farmed with horses and mules. Roadside stands, bake shops, or a visit to a craft or quilt shop on an Amish farm are among the unique happenings that may be enjoyed on your tour. Wednesday, September 26 th Day 5 Sight & Sound Theatre Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we will drive a short distance to Kitchen Kettle Village. Kitchen Kettle Village features 40 distinct merchants offering everything from locally-made art, pottery and PA Dutch quilts to name-brand favorites like Brighton, PANDORA Jewelry, UGG and Minnetonka moccasins. It also showcases the best of Lancaster County including homemade baked goods, jams and relishes, and good food with unexpected touches. After lunch at Kitchen Kettle Village (not included) we will depart for Sight & Sound Theatre for an afternoon performance of Jesus. Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. We will return to the hotel following the show. Note: Our seats are located in section 305 which is raised and some stairs are required. This evening we will enjoy an included dinner at Good N Plenty Restaurant & Bakery. We will return to the hotel following dinner and the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.
